I should have paid attention to the low ratings. I ordered a latte and a croissant, which came to $20. After tipping $4, the total was $24—not cheap, but this is Aspen. The service was walk-up, so a 20% tip felt generous, especially since the staff wasn’t friendly.

When I got to the table, I accidentally knocked over the latte. I went back to ask if they had a towel or mop to clean it up and apologized for the spill. They gave me a dirty look and handed me a tiny towel. I mentioned that I’d need more than that, and they gave me another small towel. I ended up using napkins to clean it myself.

What bothered me most wasn’t just the lack of help but the attitude. For $24, I would have expected them to say, 'Sorry that happened! Let us take care of it and here’s a new latte.' Instead, I got a croissant and some attitude.

Fancy Fancy.

First time in Aspen and we need to kill some time in the morning so we popped in for a Chai and coffee and ended up trying breakfast.
The Avo Toast is superb !!! Probably the most artisan toast I’ve ever had.

Staff was friendly. Even the hotel bathroom was fancy.

Very overpriced for the quality you get. Chai latte tasted burnt and watery.

Had two drinks both were awful. The atmosphere was charming and pretty. Staff barely gave me a half full cup. Couldn’t wait to leave and had a horrible smell by the end of it.

I'm the only customer at the counter. 2 baristas. Everyone has been served. I order, pay and wait. Nothing! Finally: "My order?" "Sorry, she forgot." My "for here" giant cookie comes in a paper sack. I ask for a plate and get a 10-incher. I wait. "My americano?" "Sorry. She forgot." It finally arrives, in paper, of course.

They add a mandatory 15% gratuity, I asked about this since it’s listed nowhere. She indicated it’s on the receipt which is too late for someone to have made a decision to not purchase. Atmosphere is good, service is unwelcoming and not enjoyable. Seems like she doesn’t want to work here.

Chai tea was precise A great chai tea is a harmonious blend of robust black tea and a medley of warming spices. The base tea is strong enough to hold its own, often Assam or Darjeeling, providing a rich, malty backdrop. The spices—typically a mix of cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, cloves, and black pepper—are balanced perfectly, each one enhancing the others without overpowering the cup. The addition of creamy milk (often whole or plant-based) softens the spices, creating a smooth, comforting texture. Sweetened just enough to highlight the flavors, this chai is fragrant, warming, and invigorating, making it a delightful experience with every sip.
