A beautiful restaurant with wonderful sushi. Their tuna tataki melts in your mouth. Excellent service. While celebrating my birthday there last night, we were given a free dessert and more importantly, a free Kinichi hat! Great experience!

Ehhhh $175 take out order and nothing was good. Tastes like supermarket pre packed sushi. All 3 rolls were very lackluster, nigiri was tiny and didn’t seem very fresh. The best thing was the eggplant and again very small portion. I don’t mind paying $100s of dollars for good sushi but this was a one and done for me. We will stick to Matsuisha.

We came here because we actually had dinner reservations, recommended by our hotel at another sushi spot in the area with a famous chef. We had such a horrible time with overpriced starters there, we left without dinner. We search online for this Kenichi Aspen and walked around the corner and found this place. We didn't have reservations, but the hostesses were lovely. They asked how our day was going, complimented our outfits and sat us at a nice table.
The servers were so welcoming...they asked us where we were from and just gave very personalized customer service. The food was amazing. There was something wr got that was a miss, but it was still wonderful. This place also has good ambience and wonderful drinks. Even people dining in the restaurant are very pleasant and speak to you as you walk around. I would definitely suggest this spot for sushi in Aspen over any other place. I can't wait to return.
I really did like this place. Got the miso marinated cod, excellent. A little pricey, but it’s Aspen after all.

Nice low lit spot for a date night in Aspen! This was one of the only spots open the week before memorial weekend, but we enjoyed our sushi. Good fish, good menu, decent drinks, and great service. Fish was fresh. We loved the special yellowtail shashimi and the salmon and eel rolls. Yummy. Was over $200 and we didn't even get more than 3 drinks but typical for aspen.

Deceptive menu/pricing, server also did not clarify. Tiny portion sizes. Probably those things are on purpose. Flavor just ok. E.g. $ 30 lobster tacos: two, each the size of a one-bite Totino’s pizza roll… but not as tasty.

Kenichi has just made our family Best of Aspen list--We had the best food and the best time. Our server Zack really made the experience; he was attentive and helpful, every suggestion he made was a winner. We tried some old standbys, some of the specials, as well as specialties of the house and loved every single one. We enjoy visiting Aspen in the low season and trying places new to us, Kenichi will now be a go to. The entire staff was awesome, great service, highly recommended.
