So some things were great like the lobster tempura appetizer and the Asian back ribs appetizer. The sushi seemed off because the rice texture was mooshy (overcooked?, undercooked?). I've never experienced the rice in sushi not right. The big surprise was the HUGE tips added to the bill. Our total was $114, but they added a $50 gratuity AND a $15 house gratuity. That brought our bill with taxes up to $185. Whew.

The food, service, and ambience were all fantastic. The services provided by the professional management and staff are the main reasons that we keep coming back. The old world elegance is a rare thing, and we value their focus to make sure that everything about the dining experience is excellent. I highly recomend Kenichi Aspen!

I had just proposed and this was our celebration! Bridget and Kali made us feel super welcomed and made sure we were really well taken care of throughout our experience. The Dynamo roll was the star of the night and so was the dynamite pickles. I recommend both thoroughly. The service and food were phenomenal and one of the few fairly priced places in town!

A beautiful restaurant with wonderful sushi. Their tuna tataki melts in your mouth. Excellent service. While celebrating my birthday there last night, we were given a free dessert and more importantly, a free Kinichi hat! Great experience!

We had dinner atkenechi aspen on sept 4th 2025. I have been going there for over 20 years and never had a bad meal. One of our favorites is the dynamite shrimp appetizer and we order two orders. Upon delivery of the dynamite shrimp, we started to eat them, and they had a very fishy spoiled taste of them. We communicated to the waitress about the problem and she removed them from the table. I asked to speak to the manager and he came to the table and said there was nothing wrong with the shrimp, but there was something wrong with the batter that they use to make it. Essentially, he lied to us and the shrimp that tasted fishy and spoiled was the problem. He was extremely offensive to us and took no responsibility for serving us spoiled shrimp essentially he lied with no remorse. His name I believe was Malcolm I requested contact information of the owner who I know personally, but they only gave me a general email contact to the restaurant. I sent two emails to speak to the owner without anyresponse. It was quite a disappointing. response. It was quite an disappointing experience especially that we had upset stomachs the rest of the night.
This was our first time at Kenichi. I was very impressed with the quality of fish and food overall. I'm still thinking about the otoro with the wasabi relish on top. Our server, Jao, was very attentive, knowledgable, and kind. It was also my birthday and they brought me a fried banana and ice cream that was incredible! I can't wait to go back!!

I don’t even eat fish, yet I’m absolutely in love with all the vegetarian sushi, salads, and especially the desserts here. I really enjoy this place — I’m a regular and plan to keep it that way.
