The place was dirty, the pants were stained with the lower part of the table, which was not cleaned, the situation was not corrected, we ordered the appetizers and they were very bad, we no longer ordered the main course and we preferred to stop, ask for the bill, pay and leave the placeThere was never good attention

The place was dirty, the table dirty, bad service. The sushi rolls bad, edamame raw… very bad experience

Beyond baffled as to how this restaurant can have good reviews for the food. Service and atmosphere are great but the quality of the food was very mixed with sushi (maki and nigiri) being subpar. Anyone who ranks the sushi high here has not experienced truly good sushi. The price point makes skipping this place a no brainer.

Ooph. Where to begin. The best thing I had here was my glass of wine and the spicy edamame. The menu looked so promising but failed to deliver. I don't eat seafood but was so excited about the Wagyu ramen. The presentation was nice but it lacked flavor in just about every way. Quality of meat did not taste like the A5 I'm used to eating back in CA. I ended up giving the dish to my boyfriend because he did not like his roll - ate one piece and by the look on his face I thought he was going to return it to the plate. I ordered the wagyu gyoza instead since I was still hungry and it had an overwhelming taste of cinnamon? Also was very dry so ended up dunking them in soy sauce which was a shame. My boyfriend enjoyed the other hand rolls he ordered but again, nothing special and just didn't match the price tag. He's had much better sushi for half the price. Perhaps we are spoiled by restaurants like Nobu and Sugarfish where we live so our standards are higher. Service was fine, nothing remarkable but they were busy so that's understandable. Our server was kind. The design/vibe of the restaurant was cool but the music was so loud we had to shout over the table to hear each other. Disappointing overall after spending nearly $400. Will not be back for dinner but maybe for a drink at the bar.

Regrettably, my recent visit to Madame Ushi left me with a sense of unease, despite their evident efforts. While the staff tried hard to make us feel welcome, there was an underlying feeling of discomfort throughout our meal. The astronomical prices on the menu left us scratching our heads, as there seemed to be no logical explanation for such exorbitant pricing. Unfortunately, the food failed to justify these sky-high costs.Expecting culinary excellence to match the price tag, we were sorely disappointed by the subpar quality of the dishes. Each bite left much to be desired, further adding to our disappointment. In the end, while the restaurant's efforts were commendable, the overall experience fell short of expectations. For those seeking a satisfying dining experience in Aspen, I would recommend exploring other options that offer better value for money.P. S.:Nevertheless, for those seeking a visually stunning dining setting that transports them to the streets of Japan, Madame Ushi may still hold appeal.

Madame Ushi is an absolute must-try when coming to Aspen. The nigiri was fresh and delicious, and the wagyu meats were of extremely high quality… top-notch restaurant quality products make this place ELITE. The atmosphere was amazing, customer service was impeccable, and the overall attention-to-detail in the restaurant is unmatched by any other spot in Aspen. Definitely worth a visit!!

Came into ushi late night and was blown away, great music throughout the night! Tello was very informative about the menu and set our whole meal up! Then he suggested we go to gala where we met Kyle who is the manager and he took us for a night of fun! Great vibes, food and music.

First of all, this restaurant is stunning. Although not very big, the layout and decor is chic and alluring. Think the word that comes to mind when you're here is Mysterious? My husband thought the whole place felt affectatious. The place seeks to have this nightclub-lounge-speakeasy vibe with its super-dark lighting (almost black!). It took a good 15 minutes for my eyes to adjust to the dark lighting. I have terrible night vision...and initially I could barely see. It was stylish and sexy, but definitely not comfortable. Like a nightclub, there's even a coat check station. The overhead music was very cool...progressive, metro chic and loungy. Whatever you'd call that music genre now lol! It was cranked up a bit loud...and I think it weighed on my husband, who doesn't love this genre of music like I do. The place was obviously a magnet for a ton of pretty, young people of Aspen. I was just glad that my husband was facing me, seated away from the room, which was filled with a ton of hot, single ladies lol! The pricing was completely outlandish...to be expected of Aspen. We ordered several items off the menu to share...White Fish Tempura, Shrimp Tempura, Smoked Kurobuta Ribs, Spicy Salmon Roll and Ube Waffle. For drinks, I got this Chai cocktail...and I think my husband got the Sake? All items were delicious...but in a way, I thought they could have been better. Also, they should have cranked up the presentation more...considering its price points. I just felt that the foods could have looked as expensive as they were priced. Guess if I HAD to choose, I liked the Ribs and the Ube Waffle the most. The service was good...but somehow, a bit inconsistent at times. Overall, I was impressed with the decor and the vibe much more than the foods (again, quite underwhelming in presentation...especially for the price points). Still, I enjoyed the dining experience here...despite some disappointments. However, my husband may not have quite loved it when he got the final bill lol.

Really nice restaurant and food. We found it was a little less authentic Japanese, perhaps Mexi-Jap would be a better description, but tasty

Went for the AGSW Gala event. While it looked like an open inclusive fun event, it was more of a Caribou Club “certain crowd” event. I went by myself (I was in casual attire as I’m still waiting for my bags from LAX lol): No line at all and snubbed by the doorman inviting me to grab a drink down the street and see if space opens up inside. Mind you no line and no one behind me. Doorman’s message was clear that it’s for select AGSW ppl. While that’s understandable in Aspen just make it clear on the AGSW calendar or indicate a dress code or for younger crowd only and give an age limit.

Inauthentic and not even tasty. Don't expect true, high-quality sushi or Asian food. The sushi was covered with ingredients that make no sense, and the fish smelled like it had turned. They also serve steaks that are ~$200, and while I didn't order them, they looked unappetizing and stale. The ambiance is fine but over-the-top and arguably a bit offensive. If you want a scene and to overpay for average food, this is your spot. If you want high-quality food and a good experience, look elsewhere.
