The wine menu online is incorrect and out of date. The GMs response was, “We try to keep it updated.” Steven was very dismissive regarding my disappointment. He was absolutely one of the worst managers at any establishment I’ve ever been to. It has been 2 weeks and it still has not been updated. If you cant be bothered to update the wine menu, what other things are you not paying attention to at your restaurant?

The OpenTable description still says that indoor dining is closed as of January 17 and when they email you your confirmation, it still says, “Mask are required to enter the premises. You may only remove your mask at your table.” How can they have not updated this information in years? Poor management.

Everything was EXCEPTIONAL. Mariana was fantastic. Ask for her! The food was unbelievably delicious. I’ve been in town visiting and I never once felt like a visitor while I was here. Such an amazing experience. 100% recommend coming.

The basement/dining room reeks of old fish. Couldn’t even consider eating there. I ordered food asking I get appetizer and drink before. The mains… everything was rushed and in the exact opposite order requested.
I ordered a crab tempura… it was inedible and I was charged $50.00 for a spritzer I couldn’t eat. Almost $200 for a kite meal for one. Highway robbery! Stay away.

It seems almost superfluous to review Matsuhisa Aspen, which to my mind is the flagship restaurant of the town. Food, drink, and service are consistently excellent over the years—best of any of the Nobu / Matsuhisa locations I have experienced. Lead sommelier, Dave, recommends and pours Bottled Poetry with world-class style.

Best food I’ve ever had in my life. The Gardener cocktail was wonderful.

Authentic sushi spot: I’d say it’s the best Japanese restaurant in Aspen. The chefs are amazing, and the owner is incredibly kind.

It was our first time trying this restaurant and it was good. We sat at the bar since we didn’t have a reservation. Our bartender was friendly and helpful. Food was good. I highly recommend making a reservation since it’s hard to get a table.

Really tasty food. Very flavourful compared to most restaurants. The coconut dessert paired with coconut sorbet was the cherry on top.

The service made this place. Our waiter was smart, intuitive, caring, fun, and all these things while being on top of the details. Made me wish we had a waitress like this every evening out. The food was incredible. UNI all day, every day. Absolute must in Aspen. We loved everything about it.

Waste of time and resources. Terrible restaurant!!

Very low quality Japanese style food. Everything was unbearably salty - it seems like a unscrupulous tactic to mask the lack of flavor and low quality.

Servers try to rush you out very quickly.
