Stayed here 4-5 times and always been a great experience. I had an unfortunate ski accident on the mountain 2 years ago and one of the drivers drove me to the aspen valley hospital and waited for me to be admitted into the ER and picked me back up. Went above and beyond. professional and caring staff.

The breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains from my room were simply unparalleled, creating a serene and picturesque backdrop for my entire stay. One of the standout aspects of The Little Nell is the exceptional dining experience. Every meal I enjoyed at the on-site restaurant was a culinary masterpiece. The variety of dishes offered showcased the expertise of the chefs, and the attentive staff made dining here a delightful experience every time. The staff's dedication to guest satisfaction is truly commendable. They were always ready to assist with a genuine smile, offering insightful recommendations for local attractions and activities. I visited last December with my dad for an early season ski trip. We heard AMAZING things about the Little Nell from friends, so we were excited to book our stay here. It was our first time skiing Aspen (we usually ski in Deer Valley or Europe) so we wanted to try out both the Little Nell and Hotel Jerome as we heard those were the two best. We found it a bit underwhelming and disappointing, especially relative to our stay at Hotel Jerome. Service We heard that the service here was outstanding, we found it very cold and at times unprofessional. Our breakfast server was quite rude. The concierge was not the most helpful with making dinner reservations. Overall it was fine, but certainly no standout service except at the ski room! The ski room had excellent service and were very friendly. Room It felt very outdated and not cohesive. The barn sliding doors are quite bizarre. The balcony was small. The bed was very comfortable though which is critical after a day of skiing. Food Nothing memorable, but the food was fine. Breakfast was good each morning - there could be a few more options. Overall, by no means is the Little Nell a bad hotel. In our experience, it was not as special as we had heard, so we were quite disappointed with our stay and wouldn’t be our first choice to book again in Aspen. By contrast, we really loved Hotel Jerome and found the service to be much superior.

My kid and I stayed at the Little Nell in April and had a fabulous time. The location is unbeatable, with a short walk to almost everywhere in town and at the base of the mountain. I did not get to ski as I’m a terrible skier and can only do greens, but anyone who can do blues and above will find it super convenient. The rooms are super spacious and ridiculously plush. I’ve never had such thick and soft carpet in any other hotel. All the linens were top grade, and loved that everything in the mini bar was complimentary (my son loved that part). Service was excellent without being overbearing. My son is already asking when we can come back.

The Little Nell was the perfect choice for a girls’ trip for Christmas shopping. We loved being able to walk anywhere we needed to go, or be driven in one of their SUVs to dinner. The staff was incredibly nice and friendly, and the rooms beautiful. We loved sitting by the fire at night and turning on a Christmas movie for a cozy experience. We plan to bring our families back with us to visit this December!

This place is truly exceptional. Not so much because of the building per se (although everything is very nice). But the people make the difference. This staff - with any exception - are very skilled, super well trained and extremely professional while being also just humanly nice and caring. Best place in A.

5.5/5 stars. The Little Nell provides some of Aspen’s finest hospitality, for a price as high as the altitude. I was going to give 6 but this is already going to lean on being a very lavish review, so… here we are, attempting to temper some of the praise with little notes here and there about what to improve. This review is for the off season, summer. It may be busier and have different types of guests in the winter. From the moment you arrive you’ll stay in luxury here, and have multiple people ready to drop everything and accommodate your requests. That’s what you’re paying for. Aspects of the TLN like bathroom and bedroom in a normal king room rival some nicer 4 star hotels, in that you won’t see anything mind-blowing in terms of luxury, but it’s all nice and modern, and cleaned to a particularly thoughtful and high standard. Nothing is out of place. Amenities are organic and sustainable. (Huge praise for this)And the food at the restaurant (element 47) is some of the best in Aspen, absolutely. Rigorously sustainable, fresh, delicious. Pricey at times but worth it, and not outlandish. Room service definitely commands a high price tag but is likewise fantastic since it’s from the very same high tier restaurant. Don’t miss the avocado toast and anything they do with eggs. Delightful. The lobby adjoins luxury shops and is itself a tastefully decorated place to begin your journey here. The staff are friendly to the last, and will lighten you of your burdens in any way imaginable. Don’t feel out of place requesting odd items, shipping services, or extra amenities of any kind. They’ll do their best to make it happen. I had 3-4 interesting odd requests across the weekend that were all fulfilled within an hour or so.Beds are comfy, chairs are comfy. WiFi is ok but not lightning fast. Outlets are plentiful. Bathrooms feel like a cut above, really quite nice. Having a separate tub and shower is especially good to see.At this time they also offer a highly attentive free shuttle service with Audi electric vehicles. Such a treat if you need to dart about town quickly, or escape a sudden rain storm.I think negative reviews here highlight that your expectations should be high given the price and if they aren’t being met, people are getting very sour. But I think my high expectations were met and even exceeded in places. It’s very dog friendly, surprisingly, given how nice the accommodations are - and this can lead to some barking at odd hours, but nothing that negatively affects the experience.People in reviews seem to be roasting the spa. We didn’t use it, so can’t review that part: it’s being redone! So the negative reviews soon won’t be accurate as it’ll be renovated. The pool area is great. Hot tub great. Everything has ample shade and plenty of staff keeping up appearances and offering incredible service. Water, fresh fruit and sunscreen are available poolside too. Little touches like that are so lovely to see! That’s what makes this place 5 stars after all. The details.Of note; they also handled a wedding during our stay and it was done with utmost professionalism and class. No complaints. If your wallet can handle it, I think The Little Nell fits the bill. It adjoins the silver queen gondola which can bring you far up the main slope too if needed, along with other chair lifts for skiing.Had an excellent time. Would return if we’re in the area again. Photos reflect a wide range of what’s discussed in the review.

You will never find more accommodating personal attention than you get at the little Nell. From being greeted by the charming bellmen who wish your belongings to your suite when you arrive to being handed a glass of fine champagne by Rob the front desk manager, you will feel like royalty. From the moment you arrive, they remember your name as well as your dog's! Their concierges are all excellent. Carol was one of my favorites. Their complimentary transportation was exceptional. Heidi was our favorite housekeeper as she delivered all of our special requests. Marlene and Ana were also great. Unfortunately the exceptional restaurant Element 47 wasn't open for dinner on Monday or Tuesday during our stay, but their breakfasts sure made up for that. Louis from Mexico City was beyond welcoming as well as accommodating with the great service by Sheila. Their coffee service was over the top with warmed creamers and robust coffee. The complimentary pistachio muffins were an unexpected treat from their phenomenal pastry chef. I asked for her original recipe for the outrageous home made dog bone treats only to find out it was a secret! No problem as we will be back soon. You must try the lemon soufflé pancakes as well as all of the fresh ingredients in the made to order omelet surrounded by delicious sausage and perfect potatoes. Their flowers and amenities around the pool were top notch. The complementary treats and beverages in our suite made us feel like we were on a luxury cruise! We couldn't have had a lovelier vacation!

An honest review- It’s a good hotel but not five star luxury. My husband and I always stay at five star hotels. I was excited for The Little Nell. For the price you pay, it is not worth it. Let’s start with the food. Element 47 is overpriced and lacks flavor. Ajax Tavern is a better but not THE BEST. I reviewed some other amazing restaurants if you want suggestions. As for the room, it is small and the shower barely fits one person. My room was especially disappointing because it did not have a balcony and the view was of the dumpsters out back. The images and virtual tour on the website show a balcony in the regular rooms but this was not the case. When you are paying so much for luxury, there are expectations which The Little Nell did not meet. Their one saving grace is the staff. The staff is great and housekeeping comes at least 2x a day.My overall feeling is one of disappointment.
