We've been going to the Fig for either Xmas or NYE dinner for almost 20 years. One of our favorite intimate dinner destinations in Aspen. Service is top notch. Great hummus. Branzino, fish of the day, or fish in a bag is always a winner, so are the Wild Fig Frites. Even if you sit at the bar the service is friendly and memorable. Don't ever close!

Forced to spend 200 per person because we had a group of twelve. Poorly prepared steak and a risotto dish that was supposed to have scallops that was served with cod instead of scallops. People vaping pot the whole evening. Drinks and food served disjointedly. Lousy experience soup to nuts. Literally terrible. I do not write bad reviews about anything but this was so egregious that I had to say something. Do not go here.

My favorite neighborhood restaurant in Aspen. Pleasant and knowledgeable service. Lovely atmosphere and of course amazing food. French onion soup is top notch!

Very confused if this is Italian or French but the food is delicious, the atmosphere is adorable and the service is excellent. They have two seatings at 6:30p and 8:30p which means zero wait for your table.

The worst combination of food and service I have experienced in well over a decade. We were held up to a minimum of 200 pp for our party of 12. The food was poorly prepared-overcooked meat and a scallop dish that was served with cod instead of scallops. The management did not budge on a minimum food requirement that was artificially jacked up because of our size. No other party has a minimum charge. Food ordered did not come and drinks and food were served very disjointedly. Allergies were dealt with in a completely blasé and unconcerned fashion. Terrible experience from soup to nots. DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT.People vaping pot in the restaurant throughout the night. Forced to have at least 200 dollars per person and had to order multiple orders of take out to hit the number. Just awful experience. I have never written a bad review of anyone or anything. This was a rotten time.

Although the food and service is great (especially the french onion soup and bread), it’s a bit overpriced and service is a bit much, although it is Aspen. The place is very cozy with good lighting. We loved the seafood risotto, the veal was just okay. Would come back for a special occasion. Reservation is a must!

Cozy little restaurant. You must first reserve a table. I was here in the evening, there were no free tables, all the places were occupied. Delicious Italian food and friendly staff. Be sure to try the signature dishes, these recipes have not changed for many years. I also liked the serving of bread, fresh warm, wrapped in a towel.

We had an excellent dinner here. My daughter had the lobster ravioli and I had the risotto special which was lobster risotto topped with red snapper, finished our meal with espresso and cheesecake. Everything was on point in a lovely setting, with excellent service. Highly recommend.

I was here last night with some friends and we really enjoyed ourselves. The restaurant is cozy and chicly decorcated. it's a little tight, but I thought that added to the nice ambience. Service was friendly and caring. We all enjoyed the burrata proscuitto starter. I had the veal scallopine and my friends had some of the pasta dishes. We split the tiramisu for dessert. Portions were generous, wine selection was good, and I want to go back. Great night!

Amazing food. I struck gold when I chose this place randomly to have dinner while on a work trip. Food is great.

Food is un-memorable , ambience is average , and probably a pass unless you can't get in to the popular spots and stuck for some food.

I didn’t give 5 stars because the restaurant is so dimly lit that while we were eating our dinner FOUR tables had their cell phone flash lights on to see the menu. I had to actually get up from my meal and ask another patron to please turn their camera as it was shining directly into my eyes while I was trying to enjoy our dinner, which was super awkward!!!. If I owned a place and witnessed this I would probably turn up the lights at least a SMIDGE. So weird. Anyway fondue was great. As was our main entrees of chicken and a short rib/ porcini plate. Service was attentive, my water glass was never empty, since I only drink water when going out was important to me.

Well, the food was very good. The ambience was not. Upon walking in during winter season, you are greeted by a coat check and it is not optional... It was a super offputting experience because I didn't want to give the code check person my coat. I wasn't carrying a bag and everything was in the pockets and I just wanted to have it with me and she basically told me I wasn't allowed inside unless I checked my coat. In this process she also was sort of like do you have a reservation basically not letting me continue to walk into the restaurant unless I had one. (Which I did). So it was just a very rude and awkward encounter.I get that place is small and that it makes sense for them to check coats but I don't think that you should be forcing us to check your coat and it was such an off putting experience that it really made that dinner less desirable. Also, the coat literally fits on the chair. There's no reason that they need to take it. Not to mention that I ordered a drink that had clarified juice in it, but they didn't have that which I would've preferred to know because that was actually the reason that I ordered a drink and when they brought it to the table they just said oh sorry, we don't have one of the ingredients. Aspen has great fine dining and I probably wouldn't go back to this place compared to the other options.

The Wild Fig was good but not incredible. Perhaps I was swayed by the fact that I had heard such great things going into the meal, but the food ultimately underperformed. The French onion soup was good, but not so much better than other French onion soup in Aspen. The Greek salad is good but again nothing incredible. My "fish in a bag" was dry and the sides were nothing to write home about. The restaurant ambiance is a strength, but the food didn't stand out.
