The food was super tasty. The place has such a beautiful and unique décor — nothing like I’ve seen anywhere else. The staff were all so nice and gave great service. I tried all three desserts and they were amazing. Definitely a spot you can’t miss when you’re in Aspen.

Lunch? Only if you solve the riddle.
We came at 3:00 PM (like Google and their own sign said). The place was empty, and someone told us to come back at 3:30. Weird, but okay — we did.
At 3:30, a man outside (likely the manager) told us, with a charmingly arrogant attitude, that they actually open at 5:00 and “need to update that.”
Apparently, the schedule online and on their front sign is just decorative. Hope the food’s better than the customer service — we never got to find out.

Spendy but worth it for something different Aspen! Fantastic decor and design, solid service, and a great variety on the menu. The spring rolls were really nice, and the yellowtail sashimi was incredible for small plates. We also had the sea bass and my personal favorite, the beef short rib fried rice!

Horrible service and food.
Flavors were awful
Service was very rude and took half an hr just to get water.
Not family friendly and tables are small and seats are uncomfortable. When approached server with issues they didn’t seem to care and didn’t apologize either.
Never going there again. Place wasn’t even busy for that kind of treatment. Also over priced for servings and the type of food they offer. If I could give 0 stars I would!

Atmosphere is very unique and exciting! Food and service were good, although not amazing (hence 4 stars for those). Food did take quite a long time to come out, but tasted good. Overall a good experience, and we are glad we visited!

Adorable new spot so well decorated inside & out. Food menu was delicious but the menu a bit limited & the waitress said most items were spicy. We sat outside and many people walked up to sit outside but left for the restaurant next door since there was no hostess or direction as to how to get a table.

Food and atmosphere were great. Request that you do not have Olivia as your server. Probably the worst waitress we have ever had at a nice restaurant. Inattentive, forgetful, just a bad experience when we were expecting a great one. Disappointing.

Here’s your true rating and review. Atmosphere inside was very nice and different, however very stuffy ,it was hot no ventilation! Sit outside or don’t go! Unless they put on the ac. There’s 1 bathroom unless you want to walk a block. Big discomfort. Waitress was an amazing peppy young sweet girl. She was great . Food , appetizers main dishes took a very long time and the courses were sent out scattered. Sea bass was great! Mango salad average , potatoes and the yellow coconut rice poor reheated you can taste the microwave. Had the super small expensive dry aged (probably not aged for very long) steak, average at best if I’m nice ! But save your money on this dish. Chicken satay averaga. Very good was the beef fried rice. Didn’t have dessert The meal took so long we wanted to get out

A Fresh Favorite in Aspen!
We had a wonderful evening at this fun new restaurant in Aspen. The atmosphere was beautifully done—stylish yet inviting—and the service was excellent from start to finish. Our favorite dishes were the homemade crab cakes and the Indonesian-inspired sauces, which added a unique twist. The Branzino was perfectly cooked, and the satays were full of flavor. A special shoutout to Greg, the manager, who stopped by during dinner and made us feel genuinely welcome. We’ll definitely be back!

We had a really terrible experience at Wayan yesterday from the get go mostly due to the service and a nice bout of racism. As a white person, our diverse table of 6 was treated to a level of rudeness I have never experienced, especially at a restaurant of this caliber. We constantly had to ask for service - our waitress sat us down, told us about how many plates we should order, and for the rest of the night it was like we had to beg to be waited on or treated with respect.
We had to ask for plates to be cleared, we had to flag a server down 4 times to order 2 cocktails and ask for more water (every time we asked for something they would leave before we could get another word in), they brought plates of food but no plates for us to eat off of, no forks, no knives, didn't clear plates, we were brought 2 wrong dishes, & as a table of 6 our waitress never mentioned the portion sizes of dishes so we were just guessing as things arrived. She was never there long enough to do anything other than drop them off -
consistently weird, uncomfortable things that let our table know we were forgotten, an after thought, and not worth the care or attention to detail you’d normally expect from a place like this. The rude comments made over our waitress's shoulder at us at the end of the meal were just the cherry on top of our $700 bill, $60 of which went to a plate of literally just 3 scallops and a lot of tasteless sauce.
The food was fine. The decor was covered in Arhaus lamp shades. The Indonesian inspiration was ironic considering the diversity of our group and our treatment. This experience is the reason I don’t care for these types of places. We won't be coming. back.

This is a gem. The weather was so inviting we ate on the patio but we went inside to see and it is uniquely decorated inside. Really special. We loved our food. We shared satays (lamb) and egg rolls (veggie) with amazing sauces. Then our large plates were scallops and a beef/crispy rice/egg dish. The scallops were off the charts! My husband also enjoyed his beef dish. They have a nice wine selection. My husband also got an ice cream dessert that was quite yummy and creative.

Wow we were blown away. The food is legit , like everything we ordered was a solid 10/10 but more importantly the staff made our experience. Everyone from the moment you walk in to the entire experience was just world class , you can tell everyone actually cares that you have a good time. We will be back and this is a place you must try.
