I tried to go there twice after 3:00 and the door is still locked with the open sign

The bartender behind the bar would not come to the table to get our order. Never have had that happen.

We drive up from Greeley to eat here. Gluten Free fried chicken that rivals the best fried chicken I've ever had. Fantastic burgers and sandwiches. Can recommend the pulled pork sandwich with the rainbow slaw

Before passing through town we googled restaurants in Ault and and Ugly Pony came up so we looked at their menu and saw gluten free options. Being celiac, it’s difficult to find restaurants in small towns that offer gf food so we were really excited.
First impressions when walking in
was it was a cute, clean, welcoming atmosphere with a beautiful bar, pool tables and football games on tv.

Now to the menu…wow! The options were amazing! I have never had chicken and waffles and was so excited so I ordered them (I got a half portion which was more like a 1/4 portion…so I’ll order the full next time). All the food is made to order so it takes a little longer to get your meal but it is definitely worth it! The waffle was crisp but soft, the chicken was beautifully breaded and was so moist when the bacon jam was a perfect addition! The maple syrup was warm and sticky and perfect. My friend ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and commented that the tomato tasted like it came out of her grandmas garden.
The fries were perfectly crispy and not soggy at all.

The owners husband was amazing and shared awesome things about how they source the food, how they bring their heritage into the restaurant and recipes. He and his family are all gluten free and he cooks like he wants to eat!

The only thing I’d recommend (and if you’re celiac, you should already know) is to simply reiterate that you are celiac as some menu items aren’t gf.

We will purposely be driving through Ault again, just to go to Ugly Pony!

Owner is incredibly rude, food is not great, and this is not safe for people with celiac. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

The food was great and the menu had a variety of gluten free options. The service was incredibly slow given that we waited over an hour for three dishes.

We have been here several times as I am GF not by choice and it's difficult and usually crazy pricey to get a good gf meal. We were here just last week and it was remodeled with new flooring, bar, and tables.
I had the Blucifer gf burger and fries and tator tots. The fried food is always gf!
Be prepared for a long wait time because each ticket is cooked separately in the order it was received, ensuring fresh (really fresh ingredients!), hot temperature, and gf for those needing it.

The Glucifer burger had amazing flavor and was filling. Fries were a bit too salty to me (next time I'll ask for less salt) but the tator tots were so good. They are even good the next day reheated. Wasn't a tator tot fan until now! And did I mention how good the burger was and gf???

If you are in a hurry, this not the place for you. But if you are looking for a relaxed, small town family friendly atmosphere with pool table and good food, it's absolutely worth the wait!

Recently remolded. Looks sharp. Unpretentious, but not grimy. Did have to deal with a lot of flies in late October, which was unfortunate. Excellent food. Big menu with lots of great pub food like burgers and sandwiches. Really enjoyed the Philly cheesesteak sandwich and the fries had good flavor. The bartender was friendly and helped get the football game I wanted to watch on one of the handful of TVs. Would recommend if you’re driving along 85 in Weld County or live in Northern Colorado and want a relaxed, old school watering hole.
