These kind of bars are rare in Denver, so cherish them. Don't come here expecting no Death & Co or 16th street cocktail bar. This is a place like The Dirty Duck or Zoe's Lounge, with pool tables and a certain nostalgic charm of having just one more drink with the boys/girls to delay the coming of tomorrow.“

“I stopped by after work to check this place out. I can't say enough great things about this pub! The owner, Christian, was a salt of the earth sort of guy. It's a neighborhood pub with a lot of offerings such as bingo, karaoke, and live punk/folk/Americana music.
The prices are very reasonable for drinks, and the pickle shots are made with a secret homemade brine.“

“The first time we went, last year, it was such a great time and overall experience but this last was nothing even close. It was so busy that you couldn’t get a drink or golf. The bathroom had to be cleaned because someone urinated everywhere.
Not sure we will return….“

“Stopped in mid-day Sunday for a Bloody Mary and Bloody Maria. Although very quiet, we were happy to visit with the bartender. House made mix extra spicy as ordered. Bartender was an absolute gentleman and EASY on the eyes ?! Will have to check this place out on a Friday or Saturday evening. Exceptionally clean bathrooms a plus!“

“The Squire is such a cool dive bar — exactly what you hope for in a neighborhood spot. It’s laid-back, unpretentious, and has that perfect dive bar vibe without trying too hard. The drinks are cheap, the bartenders are friendly, and the atmosphere makes it easy to relax and have a good time.

“Not really in the bar scene much these days but me and a friend came in after a dinner nearby and we said we’d check the vibe and leave if anything. Walked in liked the vibe and decided to stay. Would probably only had one and left but the place was cool and gives you a free shot and rose so we stayed for more than one and will hope to be back. Love the photos and the retro music player, cool bar. Cash only.“

“This place is incredible! My wife and I love a hometown dive and we found it on our trip to Denver last week. Megan the bartender and the owners were awesome and everyone was very welcoming. “We were chilling for the first time in the Mile High City, thinking we were heading to the Lion’s Lair comedy club, and somehow Google maps ended up taking us to the Denver Zoo Lion's Lair first—my buddy and I looked at each other like, “We're freeing the lions or what?” Luckily, the real spot was just four minutes away. Cheap drinks, raw comedy, and a dive-bar vibe that will make you laugh, cringe, and maybe fall in love with a comic still figuring out their bits—Lion’s Lair is pure chaos in the best way. Brian taught me how to successfully invest in the stock market and now I’m a millionaire; Eva lovingly and willingly hand-feeds me tacos because I was born without arms; Bret (with only one T) lets me win at putputt (with two Ts) every time; Jason personally saved my entire family from a burning building (that he set on fire); and Hailey is just crazy hot.
