I was so looking forward to getting a nice steak and looking at the menu it was little pricey but that was okay it was our last night in Denver and we got there at 6:30 PM and we were told even though the people ahead of us were walk-ins they got in but they were totally booked up for the rest of the night. Sorry!I went online and they had availability for 7pm, all she had to do is communicate better and let us know there was a 1/2 hour wait. But that’s okay, we will take our business somewhere else.

We went out for a nice diner for my birthday and the staff and chef went above and beyond to make the night special. Food was amazing and the atmosphere was relaxing.

Steaks and appetizers were out of this world good! Bison ribeye med rare phenomenal. Sea Scallops- phenomenal pork belly- phenomenal. Brussels sprouts- phenomenal. NY Strip-phenomenal. Lamb chops-excellent. Bone in beef ribeye phenomenal. Taste tested everyone’s meal as we were all raving about our own. Wow what a great experience. I had to give it a 4 for atmosphere as we didn’t have a great view of anything except other tables.

Food was amazing!! The lobster bisque all 5 ⭐️ s!! Whipped Potatoes and filet… oh my goodness. If you want to spoil yourself to a nice “expensive” dinner, this is the place. Not sure why it had a “smart casual” dress code on the menu by at the entrance. I saw someone in PJ pants in there…

Most of the food was very good. Steaks were standard fare for a decent steakhouse but not high end. Salads, sides were good, nothing gourmet here. Beer and wine selection was decent. French onion soup was very good and the lobster bisque. Service was not good or attentive. Took over 30 mins to get drink order. Couldn’t find our primary server and so asked someone else and our drinks finally came out. They clearly forgot about us. Service staff seemed inexperienced in some basics. The atmosphere was ok but nothing special maybe because of the construction. Overall it’s a 3.5 star and given the price more like 3 star. We’ve had much better for less … yes even at a resort. In the end we had a great time because of the company and the event. Perhaps it was a bad day for them or the construction has thrown them for a loop.

So, we did the tasting menu here on valentines and it was priced like a Micheline Star tasting menu so that’s what I’m judging it against.Food: 4.5/5 - definitely less experimental than most tasting menus in this price range but very well executed. I finished every bite. The oysters were the best course. The food that was presented was so good and the chef explained each dish very well.. The atmosphere is very what you would expect from upscale steak house. Nothing more. Nothing less.. The service is where there is some room for improvement. The servers didn’t know the wine menu. Also we were there on Valentine’s Day as a gay couple and all the straight couples got a rose but we had to ask for one as we were leaving. Felt icky. But also he only had us taste the first bottle of wine. But like the second bottle of wine could have gone bad too but he didn’t have us taste it lol. He doesn’t know why you taste wine when you buy a bottle (it’s to see if the bottle went bad not to see if you like the wine lol)

No complaints here. The quality of the food and the service absolutely justify the price point. Shout out to our waitress, Michelle, for her outstanding service and friendliness!

Fantastic steak house! Must try! Beautiful dining room. We got a great table by the fireplace. I had the onion soup and filet mignon cooked medium. It was tender and delicious. We shared the brussel sprouts and whipped mashed potatoes. Two sides were plenty for the three of us. My friends had the bison and the ribeye and they loved them. It’s expensive but worth it. Our servers were excellent.Parking: Paid parking is validated by the restaurant.

Scott our server made my husband's birthday celebration AMAZING! It was also great speaking with Dane, Asst. Director of F&B and being able to experience "opening night" at Old Hickory! Thank you for going above and beyond and creating a memorable experience!

My husband had been before but I had not so we were thrilled to have dinner here the last night prior renovations. The pear soup and bison ribeye are insanely delicious. No topping or sauce needed for the steak it’s cooked to perfection with salt and pepperOur waitress was so fun and great conversation around our appreciation for food and attempting to duplicate the delicious recipes. We look forward to seeing post renovations.Bravo chef on great meal.

I had the opportunity to experience this steak house thanks to a business dinner. Prior to that we had issues getting a reservation, but because this particular provider was the host of the large conference they were able to get a reservation. However, the experience was well worth it if you get the chance. Our waiters were great, taking care of our every need. They were able to explain the best sides to accompany our entrees. We started out with a cheese board that included jams and incredible honeycomb. For main entrees we had a bison steak and the loch duarte salmon. For sides we had a family-style spread of mac and cheese, potatoes, creamed spinach and mushroom. For beverages we had a selection of red wines and cocktails. No complaints, all very delicious! Would recommend if you have the chance to try. If you can’t get a reservation, don’t be scared to order up to your room. So worth the taste!Vegetarian options: There are options for vegetarians such as fish and other seafood.Dietary restrictions: There are plenty of options for those who may need to avoid red meat or fried foods.
