This is probably one of the best places to study of all the libraries I have seen. It’s so quiet and so clean and it even has a cafeteria in case you got hungry or need some caffeine. The staff is so helpful and friendly. The kids section on ground floor is huge and must visit for parents. I loved the banned books displayed few days ago, I thought it was very creative.
Good service
One of my absolute favorite library locations! ( I literally have 4 library cards for the area) Very bright, clean and inviting. The staff is always so helpful and friendly. This location also has a beautiful cafe with lots of options. They also have an awesome 3D printing station that had me mesmerized for way too long watching a project being built. Makes me almost want to go more often instead of e-reading ?
Staff here isn’t really nice. I typically do all my printing and anything I need at home, unfortunately for me, my printer broke. So I came to the library, walking in was great, walking up the stairs to the computers easy and beautiful stairwells. But I continued about my visit, walked over to the computers and noticed I need a library card, I don’t have one. So I walked up to a gal, Heather. I asked her, how do I log on to the computer? To which she responded, “Do you need a guest pass?” Sheesh, I don’t know Heather..do I? She then just proceeded to point to a stack of ticket papers on her desk. In short if you don’t have a library card you need a guest pass to use the computer. Don’t ask Heather for help, she was literally no help. Besides providing smart alec responses
It is a great library with a good kids section, the staff is very helpful.
Lots of books and genres to choose from and the workers are the nicest people you will meet.
Love coming to this library staff is always nice
Great library, and a great community resource. The children's section is a fantastic place to take the kids, and my kids actually love going there.
Only leaving one because it is a good library at the end of the day. However these two older ladies were very rude. It came down to closing and as we were exiting I realized I did not have my phone on me. I looked and , I could not locate it. Obvious thing to do next is to look in the library. Granted it was about 2-3 minutes from closing. I completely understand the frustration of having to let me in when they should be closing. I work in healthcare two jobs might I add so my phone is not just something I can grab early in the morning. It is urgent. Those two older ladies completely ignored me and did not dare to look me in my face as I stood there knocking. God forbid anything awful would have happened that night those ladies would have been at fault. Don’t get me wrong that is the only altercation I have had. I will always support libraries just not those two workers.
Best library ever! They have a giant kids room with books and play sections. My 2-year old loves it. They were also giving away books for the summer to kids today.

The Smoky Hill library is awesome. The children’s section is wonderful because it is its own section with doors. So if you have a runner or wanderer, the doors will slow them down. You can also check out books right in the section. There is a big special room for story hour. Additionally, they have a few areas for the kids to play. Puppet show, train, puzzles, kitchen, and more. Plus the staff is super nice!
Literally the most beautiful library I’ve ever been to. I love it here
The Staff Made It Super Duper Easy To Get A Library Card Even After Not Living In Centennial For Several Years & Just Visiting Again. Access To Secure Computers & Printers. They Also Offer Classes & Kid Friendly Atmosphere And A Upcoming Event Around Bugs ??

Nice community center with books.
I am shocked I've not written a review for this library before!
I was so thrilled when we bought our home in 2012 to find we were so close to a community library. (Of course, almost any library IS godsend.) But this site truly basically helped my newly-retired military SAH husband with its full-on kiddo program. On weekends, I have loved just taking them in to the kids section to hang out and enjoy everything this community has to offer. And here comes the pandemic, and this team just HAD to kick it up a notch with remote presentations (great for the most schedule-challenged parents!)
Now, they are tweens. And I feel so confident letting them explore the library by themselves, because this is an extension of their 'village'. They have learned such respect to these community saviors and such an appreciation for "library".
Deservedly so. X 10.
We are now moving but Smoky Hill has set the bar.
