We recently had the pleasure of dining at Fortunate Prospector and I must say the experience was delightful from start to finish. The fish and chips were especially tasty, perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. What truly stood out was the impressive presentation of every dish.

A special thanks to Stephanie for her wonderful suggestions. Her knowledge and friendly demeanor added a personal touch to the experience.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for great food and warm service.

Great food but terrible service! Usually we’re pretty chill and understanding because we realize the hospitality industry is struggling but this was BAD. Went to the Fortunate Prospector last night for dinner with my husband and the restaurant was not extremely packed at the time but service was so slow! It took about 10 minutes before we had to flag down an employee walking by for waters and then it was another few minutes before our official waitress came. Water was never refilled the entire hour and a half we were there and even when we did finally order drinks it took another 10-15 minutes to arrive once we ordered them and the bar was empty. Appetizers were great we ordered the English bread and curry chips 10/10 recommend! He had the fish and chips which he gave a 10/10 and I had the bangers and mash which I gave an 8/10.

The servers at this restaurant were ah-mazing! Josh wasn’t our server, but he commented on our VIP table and chatted for a quick second! He was so lovely! We’ll be back for a little dessert later!

Our server Josh made visiting The Fortunate Prospector a great experience for my family. We went in for lunch with a 2-year old who was little grumpy and hungry. Josh noticed immediately and in his greeting before we could scan the menu he offered chicken tenders or fish and chips for him, we agreed on fish and chips and he put in the order right away so the cooks can get started on it and bring it out first. It was very thoughtful and my toddler was happy the rest of the visit with the food and good vibes. The 3 of us enjoyed Joshua's service, conversation, and suggestions that included everyone at the table. We had the Curry Chips, (2) Fish & Chips, and Pub Burger. All good.

Very nice place! If you’re in the mood for a Pub-style dining experience, the Fortunate Prospector will certainly exceed your expectations. I recommend the Fish n Chips paired with a Fuller’s English Pride. The amber ale’s bitter, hoppy taste cuts through the oils from the fish n chips.

The reason I’m giving the service 4 stars is just because of capacity, we had to wait about 15-20 after we were seated to actually have our orders taken. The food was a bit slow to roll out, but when it did come out we were very satisfied! It was hot, fresh, and crispy straight from the kitchen. Our server was very pleasant, but had quite a few tables to cover, so we didn’t see much of him, it wasn’t that busy overall, so I’d say they just need to add a couple more servers to the rotation.
