Danny was great! He jumped right in & took on our party of 7, presenting the whole fish options for the first time. The food preparation was A+! Amazing!
when we walked in on a quiet sunday night, the hostess refused to seat us in an area that was 100% empty, saying it was "reserved," though only one of the six tables in that section was occupied before we left. the rainbow roll was downright insulting- almost all rice and no fish. described as crab, avocado and cucumber "topped with chefs choice sashimi" for $38.50, inside was rice with a tiny speck of crab, outside was more rice with sliced avocado and a total of less than one piece of sashimi topping the entire roll. I could tell that what fish there was was good, but I'd rather be charged triple and served a portion that actually contained fish. the steamed salmon with crispy rice and stir fried "seasonal vegetables" was very good. but "seasonal vegetables" was finely shredded onion, carrot and cabbage- not quite the bounty of the season. on a positive note, the hooked salad was fabulous.
Ate outdoors which was very nice. Salmon and tuna were very good, yet portion sizes were small, specifically the veggies and carb. If these were larger, it would have been much more satisfying as the fish portion was sufficient. Service was only average. The host recognized our 20th anniversary when we checked-in, yet there was no other acknowledgement - and I had specifically requested in advance for spritzer mocktails to be brought out to us. Underwhelming overall.
After getting waters, had to wait nearly 10 min to be greeted and spieled the menu. Front/back waiter were working the floor but didn't communicate with one another about what we ordered and the coursing. Sloppy since it was so slow. Female bartender came over to finally clear my completed Margarita Martini and her verbiage, I kid you not, was “Want more?” LOL. Not “would you like a fresh one?” Or “How was it?” Just “want more?” Like I'm cattle. She might be better served at a coffee shop. Her PPA must be bad. Overall, it was super average and it's because of the service we won't be back.
We had the chef's choice preparations for the fresh fish they offered. This included 5 amazing courses including cold and warm preparations, where they used all parts of the fish. Every dish was delicious and prepared so beautifully and with such intention. We had a wonderful dining experience!
We came here for a little apres on Thanksgiving day and it was great!! We sat at the bar and the bar tender was so sweet. I wanted hot apple cider with fireball but they didn’t have any unfortunately, but the bartender worked tirelessly to find me a good substitute! We ordered a sushi roll (it was so good and came out pretty fast) and then also ordered the lobster Mac and cheese. It took a while for us to get our Mac and cheese and we had other reservations to get to so we ended up asking for it to go since we were short on time. The manager came over and apologized and made it right immediately though. I really don’t think it was the restaurant’s fault, I think they were having some computer issues that was the hold up. Plus it was opening weekend so I know they were busy and overwhelmed! Overall though, I’m very impressed with the service and the food! The lobster mac ended up being amazing, and we left happy because the manager and bartender were so nice and took such good care of us!! We will definitely be back!

Shoulder season lunch- good food soured by poor service. Inattentive and accusatory when pointing out an incorrect item on final bill.
Poor treatment of customers during shoulder season. 👎

We stayed at the Hyatt nearby for a week and came here 3 times because it was so good! We got the whole fish that they prepared into a 7 course meal! Highly recommend!!

I sat at the bar while waiting for my family to meet me for a table. While waiting I had the misfortune to overhear the bartenders talk badly and make fun of every patron in the restaurant. They made snide, smug comments about every table. It was really a disgusting display of conceit and ruined the experience.
This behavior is also a disservice to your colleagues in the kitchen. The food was mediocre and overpriced, but were it not for the bartenders’ behavior we would still return. It is a tourist town so the prices are expected. What’s not expected or excused is smug behavior towards the tourists that are keeping you in business. If you are that much better than tourists, perhaps you are in the wrong business.
I would also like to add that each bartender took frequent trips “to the back” … but i won’t draw conclusions.
Won’t return. You work in a tourist town and serve tourists. Get over yourselves.

Dining at **Hooked Beaver Creek** is nothing short of a culinary revelation, where every bite takes you on a journey through a masterful exploration of flavors. As an ardent food enthusiast, I have the privilege of experiencing some of the finest restaurants, yet Hooked stands out distinctly for its fresh, inspired seafood and impeccable service.
The moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was struck by the sleek yet inviting ambiance that exudes a modern elegance. The real treat, however, was the warm welcome from Brian, the manager, whose attentiveness and professionalism set the tone for the evening. He has perfected the art of balancing attentiveness without being overbearing—a rare and much-appreciated quality in hospitality. Brian's presence throughout the evening ensured that our experience was seamless, personalized, and truly five-star.
As for the meal itself, it was simply extraordinary. The daily freshly flown in fish are presented with an evident respect for the ingredients, allowing the natural flavors to shine. My partner and I indulged in the whole fish dinner which was cooked to absolute perfection—its delicate, buttery texture melted in my mouth with every bite. Paired with a side of their seasonal vegetables (the roasted cauliflower), it was a dish that exemplified simplicity elevated to an art form.
To finish, the a fresh handmade pie was a delightful crescendo to the evening—light, tangy, and balanced with just the right amount of sweetness.
Hooked Beaver Creek is not merely a restaurant but a destination for those who appreciate fine dining. The food is remarkable, but it is the exceptional service, led by Brian, that transforms a meal here into a memorable experience. If you're in search of the perfect blend of culinary craftsmanship and top-notch hospitality, this is the place. Five stars, without a doubt.

Food and service was great however within an hour of leaving we got severely sick for the entire Labor Day weekend. After seeing a doctor it was determined that it was food poisoning. Either the salmon or sautéed greens / rice side dish.
Called restaurant and left a message for manager and got no response or apology. Therefore I must leave this review.
Again, great service and food tasted great just must of had a contamination issue and hopefully no one else had their Labor Day weekend ruined.
Wish management would have made it right and at least apologize but the lack of communication is the reason for this review.

The service was impeccable - thank you Rachael! The food matched the service in every way with fresh flavors and quality present with each bite. These are the types of places that bring a sparkle to life and each dish stood on its own, even the sides. Looking forward to our next visit already.
Vegetarian options: Good options such as stir fry, tempura, and more
Dietary restrictions: Gluten free was very possible for my gorgeous wife

Great spot with great employees but the food was mediocre at best. I ordered the Tuna with a miso glaze. The fish flavorless and over cooked with grizzle running through it. For over $50 I would expect a bit better. The wine by the glass selection was pathetic. For a seafood place to have one Chardonnay (Buena Vista) by the glass and a very cheap one at that for $23.50 per glass is taking advantage of your customers. I will go back and try the sushi menu because that did look interesting but if you are looking for a nice seafood dinner, try something else.
