Had a 7:45pm reservation. Waited with my group for 25 minutes and saw 3 other parties seated ahead of us, some of whom did not have reservations for before us. When we finally asked if they were ever planning to seat us, we were told no and shown a table outside as our only option (it is winter, negative temps) with not enough seats for our group. This was a beyond dehumanizing and disgusting treatment, and the staff was extremely aggressive and rude throughout it all. We are also members of the club, so this is especially disappointing treatment. Do not recommend— they are rude and aggressive.
$18 for one piece of hamachi nigiri is absolutely wild. I've eaten at the Michelin starred Kizaki in Denver as well as some of the best sushi restaurants in Japan, and Sakaba's prices are almost offensive to me. There's no possible way that the food can match what they're charging here, even if it was sushi at the highest level. What a scam.
Love eating at Sakaba every time we are in town. Such a great meal and we LOVE the staff!! It is not inexpensive, but always a special treat we enjoy.
Amazing food. We enjoyed the shared experience and had the waiter bring out new dishes as we finished each one. The miso black cod and wagyu among the favorites. Wagyu was served in a unique way where we cooked it to our liking at the table.
My husband and I had a wonderful date night. The dishes we really loved were the uni, eggplant, and yellowtail scallion role.
We celebrated my husband’s birthday here and it was great!
The service was very friendly and attentive, but also well-paced for a more leisurely dinner.
The chef’s choice sashimi omakase was great and allowed for a nice range, including fish we hadn’t tried before. The wagyu was incredible, especially with the condiments/accoutrements that come with it.

Our server Anne was amazing! From food selections to keeping our wine at just the perfect temp. She was so attentive. Food was delicious!
Food and service were great. Can I eat somewhere without DOGS?? Noisy and tight outside. Uni and crunchy tuna are the bomb.
We had the most wonderful experience at Sakaba. We went to dinner here on our honeymoon and they made it a very special experience. They gave us a great table and decorated it with candles and flowers. The food was amazing and the service was quick. Joy and Shay made sure that we had everything we needed and more! Thank you so much for making our experience so amazing.

We had reservations and when we made our reservations we called to inquire about parking. We told there would be complementary valet out front. Our friends arrived first and were allowed to park free of charge and then when we arrived 5 minutes later they wanted $100 for our car. I’m pretty sure the valet guys are stereotyping who they want to give free parking too. Never again!

Way overpriced for mediocre food. Used to be better but, sadly quality went down as prices went up. When staying at Ritz it's tempting because so convenient but going to Avon or Vail for sushi is much better choice.
Food was extremely overpriced and we left hungry. Spent over $500 for a family of 4 and had 2 kids and 2 adults. Very limited sushi options and sushi was bland. Service was decent but would not go back because of the insane prices.
I don't normally write bad reviews, however the himachi portion was embarrassingly small, the heaters kept being turned off while we were sitting outside to accommodate a different table over ours, and they ran out of lobster and crispy rice on a Saturday night.
For people who enjoy sushi, it is fantastic. If you’re a sushi-lite person, go elsewhere. Everything was fantastic, highly recommend the miso black cod. Would go back here over Matsuhisa in Vail, and cannot wait to go back. Our best sushi experience in the Valley so far!

Our bill was $1k. We had 4 alcoholic drinks total. Rolls were $40-50 each and not very flavorful. The patio setting was nice, but a little chilly even with the heaters. Service was just ok.
