Way overpriced for mediocre food. Used to be better but, sadly quality went down as prices went up. When staying at Ritz it's tempting because so convenient but going to Avon or Vail for sushi is much better choice.

Food was extremely overpriced and we left hungry. Spent over $500 for a family of 4 and had 2 kids and 2 adults. Very limited sushi options and sushi was bland. Service was decent but would not go back because of the insane prices.

I don't normally write bad reviews, however the himachi portion was embarrassingly small, the heaters kept being turned off while we were sitting outside to accommodate a different table over ours, and they ran out of lobster and crispy rice on a Saturday night.

Our bill was $1k. We had 4 alcoholic drinks total. Rolls were $40-50 each and not very flavorful. The patio setting was nice, but a little chilly even with the heaters. Service was just ok.

This was our second time to sakaba and it didn't disappoint. The tuna crispy rice, winter salad, and miso cod can't be missed. Neither can dessert. We had to send a drink back once bc it was watered down tasting, but other than that the experience was excellent.

I don't mind spending over $590 for two for a good dinner in a pleasant setting. But this place was literally freezing! We were seated in an outside covered area, even though I had reserved inside standard dining. Despite outside heaters, it was uncomfortably cold. As we were led to our table, I asked the hostess for an inside table. Although there were empty inside tables at the time, I was told none were available. As we were leaving, another guest seated at an inside table said to me, "It must have been cold as hell out there!" It was.

The place is almost outdoors even though it's snowing and winter. Service was wonderful but food nothing out of the ordinary and definitely not worth the cost

I have been to every high end sushi restaurant there is and have never seen such extraordinary prices for this level of food. Additionally, the small restaurant services an outside terrace even in winter so every time the door opens for service out there the cold winter air blows in. Service was not professional given the prices. $600 for 2 people...Matsuhisa and others are a way better bet in the area.
Completely overrated, bad service, not good quality of raw fish, very cold place and decor, very high prices.....

The black cod was melt in your mouth. The menu was interesting and good choices for both raw and cooked dishes. Our server was very welcoming and knowledgeable. We ate inside.

This place used to be so very good! But just like everything else, it's going down.This is very sad to see. We were coming over since its opening and loved the food, the service, and the decor. Yesterday, we noticed inconsistencies in food preparation, sloppy uneven rolls, sloppy placement of food on the plates, napkins with greasy stains folded in the settings, and they had no miso soup! So they offered ramen noodles broth, which was really just a noodle water, which they charged us $8 for... They also didn't have any sake. Everything was way overpriced! And even though our waiter didn't belong in a Japanese restaurant (his name is Hamsa), he was absolutely great!!! But we are not coming back.

Always an enjoyable dining experience at Sakaba. The Wagyu beef is always one of our favorites, as is the Lobster tail and warm rice. The staff is always attentive to our needs, with great courtesy and professionalism. As locals this is one of our favorite places to dine and have never been disappointed.
