What was once the uniquely wonderful Capital Creek has been homogenized and greatly diminished by new ownership.

We visited this place yesterday and had a very good experience. We ordered soups and hummus plate. Food was quite good - fresh and tasty. Service was good - quick and courteous.

We are planning to revisit this restaurant before leaving Basalt.

It's fine. Beer is good but the food has seriously gone downhill since Westbound and Down took over from Capital Creek. The Capital Creek burger was exceptional. Every Brew Pub should have an outstanding hamburger. The two little smash patties and American cheese that they have now is mediocre at best.

I had the butternut squash soup and the Colorado trout for my meal. It was amazing! My son had the chicken sandwich and the string french fries had the perfect seasoning! My husband had the burger at the double and loved everything. The smashed potatoes were amazing. Great band playing on the patio and the service was great.

Had a nice meal with good service. I had the trout and my husband had the reuben sandwich. We are not beer drinkers.. The wine options are limited, but the happy hour wine on tap was a nice pinot grigio. We would eat here again.

I live nearby and went in to checkout the menu since changing over from Capitol Creek. The menu is small (only one burger) I had the burger and opted for fries as a side The burger was over cooked and the fries reminded me of potato sticks from a can at the grocery store. No need to return.

I would give 0 stars if I could.
Horrible service. Charged much more than what I had while insulting me and my friends. Horrible servers. Will never recommend. Will never be back.

Traveling for a baseball tourney and stopped in for an early dinner/late lunch. Was very slow in the restaurant and the service matched. Very pricey for what you get and the servers would rather talk about IPA’s than help you get food quickly. Will skip on the next visit

Just another mid-valley mediocre spot. $8 beers, $20 appetizers and new owners ruined what was a decent chicken sandwich. Not a lot to say; staff is nice, fish tacos look like fish sticks on cabbage and 5% added service fee just means they are too cheap to pay their staff properly. Not worst place in basalt, but only because Zane’s exists. It’s a once a month/or two stop for this long time basalter.

Friendly staff (especially guy who used to be a teacher), and really good Reuben.

Small overpriced portions with a 5% “kitchen appreciation” charge. Maybe just price items and pay staff properly

Used to be my go-to spot for happy hour but new ownership only allows dogs on the patio. Bummer, I’ll be at Zane’s way more now.

First time coming since new ownership and changeover. Music was not a normal brewery vibe (too loud and too lounge/cluby. More importantly, waitress did not allow me to order my burger to desired cooking/taste (medium, well done, etc.) said that they are all just cooked through. Hopefully they are just working out the kinks.

Very nice atmosphere and lovely patio. Unfortunately didn’t get to try any of the food. It’s self seating, so we sat on the patio. The server wouldn’t even look in our direction. We waited for 15 minutes before waving and asking for some menus.

After dropping off the menus, the server never came back. We waited for about 15 more minutes before deciding to go to the Italian restaurant down the street.
