Good but burrito size is on the small side and no vegan option due to beans being cooked in chorizo

We were vacationing in Glenwood Springs, and my wife needed a snack. I found this place, and omg, wish we would have found it sooner. We had the birria tacos, churro’s and ice cream! EXCELLENT! Highly recommend!

Excellent Pork burritos! My son had 4 assorted tacos which he raved about. We patronized a spot in Rifle and this was exponentially better. Nice tray of sauces served with our plates. You are sitting outdoors at a picnic table. Very clean, and the gentleman running the stand were extremely friendly and courteous. Very smart that they gave us the english menu. Of course they had a Spanish menu available too. Try this place. Excellent fresh tasty chow! Semper Fi

We each had a shrimp burrito. It was absolutely fantastic. We ate at one of the tables, outside, and they served it with several sources, cucumbers, peppers, and limes. The shrimp they prepared, was similar to a shrimp, tempura, and delicious. get ready to be shocked. The Horchata’s were good also.

The tacos were great! I think our group tried all of them and they did not disappoint. They served the tacos with 3 kinds of salsa, roasted jalapeños, seasoned cucumbers, and limes. The only bad thing they were not making burritos and they were out of the rib tacos.

This taco truck is amazing! They served delicious mild, medium, and hot sauce with two grilled jalepenos with our order that we ate at their picnic tables. It was all delicious, but we really recommend the pork, beef, shrimp, and tongue meats for tacos. Some people may say, “Tongue?!?”, but it’s shredded and tastes like shredded roast beef. Their seasonings are awesome, and it is very affordable. Great place!!

Excellent food, fast service and good value. Everything was good. The rib taco was superb. Good service and nice view from the table where we sat. Would go again.

So it's a glorified, high-quality "taco truck." It's clean & presentable. The help is friendly & genuine. There is limited covered outdoor seating compliments of the taco "trailer". It's not exactly a truck, not a barn, not a ski hut, what is it? Well, who cares, because they have an excellent product. I will use my limited spanish here- "Un sabor grande y excelente". I've so far had the express burrito here, and for this most recent foray, tacos; four. And, by the way, if down-the-street Jilbertitos jades you with it's old-a** building & not-so-clean vibes, El Taco Express will relieve you with it's outdoor atmosphere and slightly cleaner, newer vibe. I don't want to overstate this though. And, on to the food. I can recall the burrito I had on my first visit. It was the express burrito. They combine barbacoa/similar beef with tripa, add beans, rice, onion, cilantro and maybe some cheese. All the flavors layer together for un flavor fiesta. The fiesta makes your tongue groove even harder with the tacos. The tacos, on my most recent visit, were excellent. Some of the best I've ever had in Colorado, and I've lived in the state for going on nine years combined. They were four in quantity, the tacos.....Un taco de chorizo, un taco de al pastor, un taco de carne asada, y un taco express. Toppin' it on all the tacos were onion y cilantro. And then the salsa- the salsa here is very unique. It's all hot and soupy, kind of like a prepared green chili stewing in a pot. There seems to be mild, medium & hot. All are kind of roasty-chile flavored, perhaps more New Mexico than Mexico- maybe kind of Denver-style in one sense. Although I could wish for better salsa, the salsas do add flavor, and seem to have a slight herbal quality as well. Maybe it's worth a disclaimer here that I'm a salsa savant and only love the greatest salsa on earth, and the most piquant. I would return on a weekly basis to El Taco Express. I think it's worth a visit. The quality & taste are between notable & exceptional.
