Great place for an Italian dish! We came here after skiing and it hits the spot. It's on the nicer end with great drinks! The waiters are sweet and conveniently located in willits around many other great stops.

This will never be the best Italian food you've ever had (I hope), but it's definitely good and without fail consistent. The vibe is low key and gives locals a great affordable dining option. The staff is always friendly and there are always great specials to mix up the menu. JP has a great team and is always incredibly welcoming!

We traveled to Carbondale to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday with our extended family. The first dining experience in the valley this trip was to Mezzaluna Willits to celebrate my birthday and my son's MIL's birthday. There were 10 of us and we had a fun and fabulous dinner. Everyone ordered so many different dishes and everyone loved their food. I had the chicken piccata and I absolutely loved it. (5+/5!) our server Josh said that local regulars will come in weekly to have it and now I wish I could too! The chicken was cooked perfectly and the accompanying polenta and asparagus were perfect flavors to enhance the entire dish. The other entrees ordered were the Margherita pizza, Caesar salad, salmon risospecial, arugula pizza, chicken and noodles, mushrooms and pasta...so much variety. (The only comment heard for constructive feedback was that the pizza crust needed more flavor as it was very plain tasting.) The restaurant is beautiful and comfortable. Josh was a super server to our big group. I think it helps to have locals with you as the camaraderie is evident with fellow residents and business owners. I would love to return again, maybe before we leave. Highly recommend.

I have been going to Mez for nearly 20 years. I have become friendly with the staff. The food is always top notch.

Had chicken parmigiana with spaghetti. I don't understand why most US restaurants destroys good pasta with an overload of tomato sauce. To make a tasty pasta you need less than a third of the sauce served here. On top of that the chicken was tough, not tender. My Italian wife would have cried seeing this dish butchered this way.

Edit: to respond to the owner. I cook pizza with an ooni pizza oven, and have for many years. Believe me when I say your dough might’ve been the worst I’ve ever thrown with, suitable for perhaps only hardtack.Others beware, if this is the level of service they provide over Google reviews, imagine what it’s like in person???I’m sure the food is okay, like much of the food in the valley. Not as good as Aspen, passable in Denver but decent for mountain food. Whys the two stars, one might ask? The absolutely horrific pizza dough I bought.Called to get some dough. They said they needed to prepare it. “Oh no problem, must be cut and seperated. I showed up and promptly paid 30 dollars for 4 dough balls. Again, it must be good because their pizza looks fire!I go back to my campsite, excited to whip out the ooni and cook up some pies. Impress my friends and woo some hearts. Instead, I start making pizza with dough that could only be described as “made for hard tack”. I mean, literally just flour and water with no fermentation. I can’t believe they would bamboozle anyone with promises of “homemade dough” only to piss in a flour bag and sell it. My friends were disappointed and I felt the fool,30 dollars lighter. I love supporting local business and as a Colorado native, I love the valley. But by god, I got got

im not from around this area but my dad and i were visiting and decided to get lunch/ dinner here. worst mistake, i got chicken parm, when i tell you the chicken traumatized me it did. i took one bite and it was hard as a rock my dad thought i was being dramatic so he took a bite and spit it right back out, worst chicken i have ever had, i would recommend literally anything but the chicken, will not be returning.

We showed up with our pups and wanted to sit outside. A server wasn’t assigned there due to the inside business, but they made it happen. Thank you!

One of our favorite meals in Aspen area. . Sarah and Harrison took care of us and did a great job. We ordered grilled romaine and split it. Outstanding. I ordered linguine with mushrooms which I highly recommend. She ordered short rib ravioli and loved it.

Friendly host, but the moldy goat cheese salad, undercooked pizza and mediocre pasta with frozen shrimp were pretty disappointing, also quite a bit overpriced. Sad because we used to like this place.
