Brick Pony Pub is the kind of Basalt spot that does not try to impress you and that is exactly why it wins. It is warm, unpretentious, and packed with the kind of local energy you can not fake. The burger with sweet potato fries is the move, the fish and chips delivers, the cheese curds transport you to Wisconsin, and the menu hits that rare sweet spot of comfort food you actually crave after a long day.

The real reason we will be back is the service. Chloe and Kendall were the stars of the show, sharp, welcoming, and genuinely on point without ever hovering. If you want a place with honest food, a solid pour, and a staff that makes you feel like you belong, Brick Pony just earned a customer for life.

Bison chili was good. Everything else is average. Wings were soggy.

We stopped in here while staying g at Snowmass. We tried this place 4 years ago and just happen to pick the same place again this visit. This place does not disappoint. We shared the potato skins and the Cubano. Both were delicious and drinks were good too. Prices are solid and portions are more than enough. Service was exceptional. Don’t skip trying this place.

We came here for our engagement dinner with our little 7 month old. Our food was amazing the artichoke dip, Philly cheesesteak, and my absolute favorite the best meatloaf I’ve ever had. The people that work in the kitchen are so friendly they loved seeing our little baby! The guy who was in charge of the pizzas that night was so respectful! The only thing that keeps me from giving 5 stars is the server. She really was not attentive to us and seemed like we were a bother.

CHICKEN PARM + COORS SCHOONERS and you’ll be sitting fat and happy! Best spot in Basalt, don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Great service, great food, and coldest beer in all the Rockies! 10/10 would recommend. I came three days in a row for the chicken parm and draft Coors from a schooner that was so cold it was like touching dry ice… and if you don’t know what dry ice feels like, you didn’t have a childhood, but I digress. Have the food enjoy the drinks and be kind to your neighbors

Not sure how you mess up fried food, but this place has it down. The fish and chips… the fish was so wet that the batter was undercooked so it was just falling off pale and soggy with oil. I’d have complained if the bartender came back. Nope. Onion rings barely made the cut… but perhaps jalapeño ranch is something different in Colorado but usually it has jalapeños in it. I’ll not come back. But if think margarita glasses are cool for beer and you don’t have taste buds… you’ll love this place.

I have eaten lunch here many times over the years and while I have enjoyed it, it was never good enough to write a review (I usually only review really good food or really awful experiences). This past Monday was my first time eating dinner there and the food was excellent! we started off with the truffle fries which were topped with so much garlic it reminded me of the garlic fries at a Seattle Mariners game (that is a good thing). I am the only vegetarian in my family so anytime I see a vegetarian lasagna I have to try it. They had an eggplant, zucchini lasagna (both ingredients that are not high on my favorites list). It was covered in a delicious sauce (I don’t even care if it was canned or jarred) and lots of cheese (Thank God I am not vegan!). My only complaint is I wish the sauce was layered into the lasagna, if it was I could not tell. The only other minor complaint is our server didn’t check on us enough. My daughter had the chicken Parmesan and my husband got a chicken sandwich. They must have been good enough to completely devour.

I will definitely try to come here for dinner again!

We went in Saturday around 7:15 to grab food to take to our Airbnb 35 minutes away. Our server was great, and the drinks we had while waiting for the food were good. However, upon getting to our Airbnb we found an entire meal was left out. We tried calling 4 times, and no one answered.

Great for a drink, the food is pretty good. The Spring Green salad with steak was delicious. The beer is served in frosted goblets, which is a nice touch.

Food is great. Menu pricing is not current. Expect higher cost than pricing on the search menus
