It was a very slow night in the restaurant, being between seasons. The food was exceptional as was the service. We will definitely go back the next time we are staying in Beaver Creek.
The service was excellent. The food was very good in some cases, the filet, and less than average on the NY Strip. Bread service was great, happy hour was great. Sides for entree's very good. But while the price was top end steak house level the NY strip was not.
SO good - ate there with my family of 4 and everything was delicious! Chef Matt Good even came out and talked to us and engaged with my kids. Highly recommend this place.

The best place to have lunch or dinner in, especially if you are looking for a great steak, or just the perfect view in Beaver Creek!
Definitely recommend it!
Parking: Over 150 spots to park!
Kid-friendliness: They have a kid’s menu also, so that’s perfect!
Wheelchair accessibility: You have ramps for the wheelchair, so that it shouldn’t be any problem for people with disabilities

Try the NY Strip, the ribeye, the lamb meatballs, or the buffalo steak! You absolutely cannot lose here, great ambiance and an exquisite variety of tasty food and locally sourced meats/veggies. Chef Matt Good is creating something truly special at The Charter Steakhouse and I can’t say enough about how much we’ve enjoyed this place!

Had a wedding rehearsal dinner here. The filet was great along with the Caesar salad and bruschetta. The service and food was very good. We had a very nice evening.

We were so excited to splurge on a proper steak dinner with the family. Unfortunately, their steaks were just not good. One dish came out completely raw and one came out over cooked. We asked for medium on both. They knew it was raw because it came out pre-sliced. I just don't know how that happens at a place with steak in the restaurant name! Anyway, atmosphere was lovely and the staff were nice.
I hate to be a hater, but my vote would be to save your money for a different steakhouse. There are several in the area.

Charter “Steakhouse”! LOL! Located in the Lobby of the Charter Hotel. Starting of with Onion Soup, small bowl of extremely salty liquid, pribly frozen from the consistency of the cheese! A true disaster. It wasn’t just one bad bowl, all 5 were horrible! The other soup available was butternut squash, another horror! All steaks were at best equivalent to maybe Sizzler! @$46-$68 a true waste of time and $!!

The French onion soup tasted like a cross between chili and . . . broth? It was terrible, and should have come with a warning that “This is not your typical French onion soup.” We ordered the ribeye and lamb; both medium. They came out rare; some parts were simply uncooked. They were both smothered in sauces, usually an indication that the meat flavor itself can’t stand on its own. The amount of fat in both entrees was shocking. The steaks and lamb we make at home are vastly superior in cut, flavor and enjoyment, and at a fraction of the cost. The seasonal vegetables left the stems, which are inedible, on the kale. The risotto and cabbage was terrible. The bread was good, and our server (Colin) was great.

This steakhouse is the definition of a steakhouse. It is quiet and has a lovely atmosphere. The Bison New York Strip, the garlic mashed potatoes, and the asparagus were all really well done. The shrimp cocktail appetizer was good as well. The only reason I dock a star from here is I was expecting a little more from the lemon tart. The tart itself is definitely good, but the strawberry sauce mixed with the lemon is a bit off flavor wise. Still, this restaurant is really good and a great stop for dinner in Beaver Creek.

Waitress was terrible. Almost every item ordered had to be reminded. And then when asked for the status she had no recollection that we had asked for it. Food was not remotely close to steakhouse quality. Everything was cold or lukewarm, and none of it was impressive. Will not come back.
An absolutely beautiful atmosphere, the mountain views are amazing. Friendly staff, the service is still working out a few “kinks” given it is a new restaurant although definitely worth the visit with an extra little bit of patience. We enjoyed our meals, didn't have steak this visit; however, the half chicken was juicy and delicious, I loved the bruschetta and the butternut squash soup was total yum. Will definitely be back!
We ate here twice this past week. I had the tenderloin medallions one night and the lamb the second night. Both were absolutely amazing! The pickled beet salad was really good too!
