Food was OK, can't really mess up chicken tenders BUT the service was horrible. I'm not sure if Elvira lost her paycheck before her shift or what happened, her service was just down right horrible. From the moment we ordered drinks until we left, it just seemed like she didn't want to wait on our table at all. Don't ask for more coffee after she's dropped the check off either, that creates an attitude and slamming of doors. Go somewhere else.

Where do I begin? The professional attitude and appearance of my hostess, LeeAnn, is exactly what I look for when I dine out. I ordered the Breakfast burrito and I must say that the Gilpin is definitely underselling this bad boy! What I got was exactly what was described on the menu, but at least double! The sausage had a smoked quality that isn't normally found in Breakfast sausage you get In BlackHawk, the potatoes were fried to perfection and still maintained that "crunch" in burrito form, the eggs were light and fluffy, and the famous green chili is not too aggressive in fact there's just the right bite to remind you that you're in Colorado and this is how we get down! I, Charmichael Benjermaine Charmichael, can attest that Lucille Malones serves the best, for the price and quality, Breakfast burrito in all of Colorado! Hell yeah!Charmichael B. We went for lunch. We ordered medium and medium rare burgers and got medium-well. Really good onion rings. The water tasted HORRIBLE. As we were leaving, the guy at the front didn’t know what he was going and he charged my credit card for another customer and handed my card to them. I was stuck with their bill & my bill!

Deeply disappointed with the initial contact regarding a large party. We entered and the staff on point appeared annoyed with us showing up. We only had 9 people which could have easily been separated into a table of 5 and 4. Instead we went to 3 tables of 3. This was tolerable but then we also get hit with big party gratuity at the end for 2 separate checks.. We always eat there when we go up the hills but last couple times the service isn’t what I expected. The servers once we got in the restaurant were awesome. The food is always good!If the place was packed I probably wouldn’t complain but the restaurant was probably at less than half capacity with numerous tables that could have been put together. Please try to do better next time maybe it was just an off night for the staff..

I never hesitate to know I would enjoy the meal, the guiet and calm atmosphere and the wait staff at Lucille Malone's.Wheelchair accessibility: I like using stairs but my Father in-law has a walker needs an elevator. The Main elevator was down but staff eagerly got him in a service elevator to enjoy our lunch upstairs. :-)

Been going here for years. Much better since new manager Cindy is was hired! She is always helping the servers and the bussers and is very nice to them, and to the customers. We enjoy coming in there so much more now because It looks like they are having fun, but paying more attention, getting the job done (and Lucille’s has needed that for a while) Also My Mom has a hard time walking, and Cindy is always extra attentive to pull chair for her, and makes conversation with us and remembers who we are. Allen is one of the busses, and he will chat and get you a drink if you run low. Servers are always attentive, and food is home cooked and delicious comfort food! Give it a try and remember that their dessert menu is bomb! If you ever had a bad experience here, try it now with the new management! You won’t be sorry!

I have no clue why people have rated this place so high! It literally is one of the saddest restaurants as far as ambiance. Upon entry, the carpet alone made me want to follow Lucille herself right off the second story balcony (will get to that at the end). Looking around the place at the customers, I felt like I was at a 1970 church revival. The menu was expansive, and the special was a $12.99 prime rib with two sides. I decided to go for it even though a prime rib should never be under $20-30 in my opinion or I will assume something is severely wrong with it. My friends reminded me it's a casino so they are trying to draw people in with cheap prices. Fair point. Speaking of friends they got the surf n turf and the hamburger. Listen. The prime rib was actually slightly better than the cheap price. My friends said the burger was "fine" and the surf n turf was "below average".Server was super nice and apologetic for the few things that he forgot and we had to remind him to grab for us. We took a piece of cheesecake for the road. As we were leaving, I asked my friends who Lucille Malone was I wonder, and the lady checking us out had the story. Lucille threw herself off the balcony after her man got run over by a wagon and died. And the lady let us go to the balcony where this happened! Lucille, honey, no man is worth jumping off this balcony for ... but that carpet ... oof maybe that's why she jumped. I'm basically giving this place two stars for the history alone!Oh, and the cheesecake when we go back home? Ugh no. Not good.Don't check it out, Blackhawk.

Make sure you ask for ALL the rules before ordering anything here. Don't just read the sign that says to go orders aren't valid with comps. I sat down and ordered a prime rib dinner, she brought the horribly limp salad first, then forgot one of my sides. When asking for a to go box, they refused saying I hadn't eaten at least half of the food, (I think I was about 8 years old last time someone told me how much I HAD to eat) and with no idea if I was paying or using a comp. The prime rib was so salty, mashed potatoes are like hospital food. After a few more bites, she finally gave me a to go box, when getting to the register, they actually made me open the to go box to inspect how much I ate. At that point there was no way I was paying out of pocket for this sub par meal, so I went back to the table, then had to go get my own silverware to eat a few more bites, upon returning to the register, they had the casino manager there waiting, who also wanted to inspect the to go box to see how much I ate. I finally passed their requirements and was allowed to use my comp, which was earned by spending a lot more than the $16 they wanted to charge me. Don't go here unless you're really hungry for bad food.
