Deena, Lily and the entire staff took care of us in a big way. We were celebrating a birthday and couldn't be more grateful for the hospitality, warmth and care. We had the crudo, cod and ravioli, all of which were flavorful and truly enjoyed the wine selection (Chablis for the win). As locals who live near the university, we have long awaited more "go to" options in our neighborhood and are looking forward to returning to Ajax for food, drinks or both in the future.
The appetizers were delicious and nice portion size. Cocktails were awesome. The pasta bolognese, burger, and cod were all perfect. The 3 of us shared the skillet cookie for dessert and it was amazing - though we would have preferred a little less caramel on it. We've been to Ajax twice, and had Cameron as our server both times. He remembered the wine we ordered a month before and reminded us. The entire crew is just the right amount of attentive without interrupting conversation.
The blackend cod was a bit SMALL. They should make it 4 oz bigger especially for that price. My husband was little hungary after we left. The Caesar Salad was excellent - we split it. The Turffle Fries were great, but too small to share with the table. The Famille Perrin Cotes du Rhone Red blend wine was EXCELLENT & a great price! We opted for the bottle for the 3 of us.
