I've been going to Ali Baba grill for 15ish years. The one in Golden and the one in Boulder. I've really enjoyed the dishes and the curries. Unfortunately, the lunch yesterday was not up to par. I had the lamb curry and it came out with partially frozen pieces, which they had to heat more. The taste was more bland and even had spice that I've never had before (felt like a Mexican dish). Pita bread was good and the hummus was good too. Not an A like some times but...
Not sure why it took me so long to find this place, but am glad I did. Had the veggie platter, everything was incredibly fresh and wonderful. Complex flavors, healthy and delicious. Highly recommend.
Middle eastern food is best served simple. Ali Baba delivers. Everything was fresh and delicious. The hummus was authentic, which is not an easy thing to do and maintain outside of the Middle East.
If I lived in Boulder I’d be having lunch here every week.
Nice to have authentic Arab coffee which takes more effort to make but is worth every bit.
