Alex was wonderful! She recommended us the espresso martini and it was so good! We had a BIG group, but she made us all feel welcome and made sure we had everything we needed.

Excellent food made even better by 11/10 service, highly recommend! And if you can make sure you snag a seat on the roof :)

Generally this is a great place with nice food and a nice atmosphere. Last night was a more negative experience.

I and my friends went to Avanti to hangout on a Friday. When we got there, we went up to the fourth floor rooftop. We saw something about the Friday college night deals. We're all PhD students, so we decided to get the $5 mules that they had. We told a server that was walking around, and she said that she just needed to see our Buff One Cards in addition to our government IDs so of course when she asked for those we showed her. Not an issue. I showed her my student ID then said I'd do a $5 mule. She seemed very kind and said they'd be right up.

Later in the night when I asked to pay my tab, I was expecting $30 plus tax since I and my fiancee had 6 of the $5 Mules between the two of us. It came to $72 plus tax.

When I asked her about that, she said that the happy hour started at 9p. We got there at 7p.

My issue here is that she acted like the happy hour had already started when we got there. She was taking orders from that menu and asking for our student IDs 2 hours before the happy hour even started.

Why would you ask to see the school IDs and take orders from that menu when the happy hour doesn't start for another two hours?

When I asked her about this, she gave an insincere apology and claimed she told us that the happy hour hadn't started. She also claimed that we already had our student IDs out. She also became quite rude about things, saying "I'm sorry you misheard me" in a very condescending tone.

Nobody out of our 6 person group heard her say that because she didn't. Nobody already had their student ID out. When we mentioned that happy hour, she asked us to get our student IDs out, and she didn't try to correct us when we were looking at that menu and ordering the $5 mules.

Yes, the timeframe is listed on the menu. So what she should have done is been clear that the happy hour hadn't started yet and not requested our student IDs.

But no, she started taking orders from that menu after she verified our student status, and she absolutely no plan to correct the mistake later when we pointed it out.

She didn't say anything, asked us to get our IDs out 2 hours early, and knew we were ordering stuff off the college night menu. She was entirely misleading and rude about things, and she didn't seem to care that she messed up. I definitely would have ordered different had she actually been clear about things. This experience makes me want to avoid Avanti in favor of other places in the future.

Tl;dr waitress advertised a college night happy hour by taking drink orders from that menu and asking for student IDs 2 hours before the happy hour started. She was misleading, rude, and didn't seem to care that she made a mistake.

We’ll drive from Arvada mainly for Boychik.
The kids love the pizza joint upstairs, and the Italian joint with the huge meatball parm sandwich. But for me it’s all about Boychik’s crispy falafel, creamy hummus, and delicious shawarma or lamb.
The cocktail called “bananas and bourbon” is the best cocktail (even though it doesn’t SOUND all that good). Me and the wife usually split one of their bowls and a side with some extra pita and leave very full.
Doesn’t hurt that the views of the mountains at the roof are outstanding.
10/10 would recommend.

This is a must-visit while in Boulder or the area! The rooftop views are spectacular, and in cooler weather, you can enjoy the fire pit while sipping on one of the fabulous drinks from the bar. I have enjoyed food from many of the restaurants, but Rooted Craft Kitchen is my favorite!

Vegetarian options: There are so many vegetarian and vegan options! The Toasted Grain Risotto is fabulous from the Rooted Craft Kitchen. Honestly - everything is good!

Dietary restrictions: Vegan and vegetarian options!

What a pleasant suprise. We stopped for dinner before catching a show at the Boulder Theater. The food and concept were awesome. My only complaint is how long it took to get my food.

Subpar food, service even worse. Lower level food quality and temperature was off. Overcooked food and lukewarm temps. Precooked line a little obvious. Not made to order. Pizza upstairs brings this up to 2 stars. If you order before closing, they try to usher you out so you’ll have to take it to go, defeating the purpose of being there. Great concept and location but poor execution. I feel like I’m on a hot date and just found out she was a gold digger and now trying to figure out if they care or if they’re trying to hide it. Either way I feel kind of gross from the food and experience and I need to hop in a long shower

So. I’ve been to Avanti many times and it is always fantastic. However today was extra awesome. 👏🏼 worked all day - and absolutely, on taxes. Yes this a true statement. Uhm… Whilst drinking wine and realizing I’m totally as smart as I already knew! Then I met Max. So cool. Best bartender and conversationalist I’ve met in many blood moons. He chatted. Helped and made us feel welcome and not rushed. That’s super cool since it was at probably 7-8 hours. Also… shout out to Holden. He’s an up-and-comer. Xoxo
