I found the pizza pretty bad, and it took a long time to come out. The atmosphere was nice though. I'd probably come here for a beer again, and just get something else on the menu to try it. I just got a slice and It didn't seem fresh, likely frozen. Brooklyn pizza down the road is so much better
Terrible service. Nobody greeted us at the entrance, we were seated at a dirty table in the playroom, and the waitress disappeared after giving us menus. We never saw her again, so we ended up leaving without even eating.

Has no regard for the community members that live nearby or the other restaurants right next to theirs.
I can’t even see the place from my window and last Tuesday evening from 6pm-9:30pm their music was so loud it was shaking my home from another street. I wake up super early for work and go to bed at 9pm and I had to listen to loud music and the vibrations in my home for my entire Tuesday evening before going to bed (late) and waking up pissed off and tired the next day. Unpleasant, inconsiderate, and just a complete nuisance to the entire area.
Great spot!! Lots of beers, even Russian River Brewery IPAs

The pizza and service at this tap house punches above its weight. This is a billboard for “don’t judge a book by its cover.” The building is old and crestfallen, but the pizza is excellent and the friendly service is fast.

We've ordered pizza from here for years and it was consistently good. The last two times (May and last weekend) were a bust, the cheese wasn't fully cooked and even with reheating it wouldn't melt. Not sure what's changed but it's a bummer.
Always a great time here. I have come here both with work and personal groups and the staff is always welcoming and friendly. Tried and true menu always is great to pick from, I personally go for the Tender Chickens most times, with a random app chosen to mix it up. The pizza is legendary, and perfect after a day of skiing, hiking, drinking, or all three. The beer assortment is also legendary, and you will have no shortage of unique and flavorful beer taps to choose from. They also have hard liquor options for those needing more motivation in life. Such a great place to catch football games. A tucked away Boulder staple for good reason, and glad to have it be part of the community.

TJ and the backcountry crew make this my favorite place to drink and eat in Boulder. Don’t get me wrong, the pizza and wings are 1000% top notch, but the camaraderie and community that the bar elicits is what keeps me coming back. I pray they never do delivery and maintain their hometown feel.
