My family and I recently had the pleasure of dining at Basta, and it was a truly wonderful experience. It's not often you find a restaurant that can impress a diverse group including my wife, my mother, and my mother-in-law, but Basta did so with ease.
We started our meal with a selection of appetizers that set a high bar for the rest of the evening. The burrata was incredibly fresh and creamy, a perfect complement to the rich, smoky flavor of the olives. But the real star was the focaccia bread—warm, airy, and with just the right amount of salt, it was impossible to stop at just one piece.
For our main courses, we chose two pizzas and a vegetable dish. The zucchini was a fantastic addition, with the fresh, crisp vegetable elevated by the vibrant basil romanesco and the satisfying crunch of the breadcrumbs. The clam pizza was a delightful surprise, with the briny clams and a hint of lemon perfectly balanced against the smoky, blistered crust from the wood-fired oven. The Daisy pizza was a testament to the restaurant's philosophy of using high-quality ingredients; simple yet perfect, with a wonderfully flavorful tomato sauce and creamy mozzarella.
To finish our meal, we decided to indulge in all of their desserts, and we were not disappointed. Each one was a perfect ending to our dinner. The Campfire vanilla ice cream had a unique, smoky sweetness that was balanced by the vibrant and refreshing orange and beet sorbet. The sweet corn ice cream was an unexpected and delicious highlight, while the rich chocolate budino with pistachio butter was pure decadence. And of course, the donuts were a warm, fluffy, and perfect final touch.
Basta’s combination of a warm, inviting atmosphere and truly incredible food made for a special and memorable night. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, adding to the overall great experience. We left feeling completely satisfied and already talking about when we could return. I highly recommend Basta for any occasion, whether it's a date night or a special family gathering.
Special thank you to Suzanne and Chef Alex for creating such a special evening.

Huge fan of the bread! We had an excellent “second dinner” of mousse, sourdough, and chocolate dessert and it was absolutely delightful. The cocktails are also unique and tasty. Previously visited and enjoyed the lasagne and pizza. Can’t wait to come back and try more dishes and cocktails! Also appreciated being able to get a walk in bat seat.

Overall, this was one of the best dining experiences my wife and I have had in a long time. Our server, Evan, was a true master of his craft and walked us through some items on the menu that were really unique.
The restaurant itself is the perfect size, big enough to feel spacious, but small enough to feel cozy. The cocktails are top-knotch and the pizzas were some of the best we've had anywhere. A modern take on a classic Italian pizza, the wood-fired crust and the dough really made it special.
For desert we tried two ice creams that were recommended by our server and the wood-smoked ice cream was something I never knew I needed. So amazing. Can't say enough good things about Basta. Thank you for being what we always hoped a restaurant could be; focused on the health and welfare of their employees, the quality of its ingredients, the focus on sustainability, and the uniqueness of its food. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary and we will be back for future celebrations.

A beautiful place with even better food!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love trying new restaurants. Nothing beats the experience of trying a new dish and finding an atmosphere to match.
This place was perfect. The clam pizza was a dream.

Went in a group of 6. Food is plated with family style serving in mind.
Service was spectacular. Team effort in food delivery, kids and adults beverage refills, table clearing, answering general questions. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable about their wine curation.
Pricing for food is fair, flavor profiles well balanced (ordered two pizzas, lasagna, foccacia, chicken, potatoes, donuts - all well executed).
The location is a little odd in the middle of a midrise apt complex, but don’t let that put you off. Well worth a stop.
Had an amazing evening at Basta! The wood-fired atmosphere and authentic Italian vibes make this Boulder gem special. Avery was absolutely fantastic - she makes the best espresso martini in Boulder, perfectly crafted with incredible attention to detail. Her service was excellent throughout the night. Highly recommend!
I’d been waiting to try this place and unfortunately was disappointed. Service was very poor, food was so so, and ambiance was lacking. I won’t be coming back, bummer.
Everything perfect from the vibes to the food. Not a lot of restaurants achieve excellence like this anymore imo
Tbh i slept for a long time on this one , couldnt tell you why, i was enjoying Dry Storage the other day and made up my mind to finally come here.
Fine experience. The location is easy to access and offers indoor and patio seating. There is a rotating menu with small bites, large plates and pizzas. We opted for the burrata and focaccia to start. Admittedly, we did not need that much bread but both options were delicious. The wood fired pizzas are light and crispy in the center with a fluffy crust. The rest of the menu did not jump out at us - the mains and sides seem to be plain items you can get anywhere. Definitely plan to make a reservation for the weekend. Plenty of parking available. 22% gratuity applied to all bills which I will continue to disagree with.
