Blackbelly restaurant is a great restaurant. We love their delicious food, amazing service, amazing atmosphere. However, it is not a five star restaurant. Stakes are great (not wow!) but overpriced.

Wow. Such a great dining experience in Boulder. Couldn't have made a better choice for a little celebration dinner with me and my wife. I had the burger which was perfectly cooked to my order and incredible. It's a simple burger that lets the high quality beef speak for itself. And boy does that beef have a lot of flavor to give.My wife got the bavette steak and the toasted peppercorn pan sauce was like nothing we've ever tasted before. I didn't even know peppercorns could taste that amazingly nutty. It complemented the steak perfectly. The service is top notch as well, completing the full, immensely satisfying dining experience I wanted for this special night. Thanks for helping me cap off an amazing day, Blackbelly. We will be back.

Over priced burritos with half friendly staff. I'm not sure why I even tipped

First time I went into Blackbelly even though I’ve been eyeing this place for a while. One of my clients loves this place and I thought I would try it with a friend. It was like entering a different world when we walked in the door. All the different meats and cheeses in the cases looks so delectable. The bottles of wine look tempting as well.We both settled on a blackbelly bowl.My friend had a little potato tenders while I had chicken. The food was absolutely delicious and fresh and the employees were open and inviting. The place would be packed, then totally emptied out and packed again. It felt like like we were in a European brasserie, conversations all around us and people eating healthy, delicious food.Highly recommended for breakfast, lunch or just to browse and buy meat, cheese, or wine.

Everything about this experience and our meals was excellent. We celebrated a birthday and sat down to special menus that said “Happy Birthday” on the top. Birthday ice cream with a candle was the cherry on top! Shoutout to Matt, our server, who was amazing. This place remains one of the best restaurants not just in Boulder, but on the entire Front Range.

A fantastic experience from start to finish. We arrived for our reservation early and were given options of where to wait. We chose a small alcove with a high top table, which felt like our own private waiting room, and we were able to enjoy our drinks. For dinner, we chose to sit at the Chef’s Counter and are glad we did. Being able to watch the focus of this team and the details they provide with such delicacy is a treat. The volume was just right to have our own side conversation, while in such close proximity to the action. The whole experience felt intimate, from the restaurant itself being a bit off the main road, to the involvement of so many team members for our experience. Our server was engaging and friendly, and the service was timed perfectly. Pictured are the prosciutto flight (sliced fresh), the Dry Aged Rohan Duck Breast (featured dish and delicious!), and the Buckner Family Ranch Lamb (a must try). The portion sizes were just right, and the sauces were rich without overpowering the cut’s fresh flavor. I can’t wait to come back and try more of this menu!

It’s my belief that seed oils shouldn’t be on the same plate as wagyu. I find it disappointing considering the price point and quality of other ingredients.

They do a great job with menu rotation and have a diverse selection for any allergy need. Could do without the smoked cactus liqueur.

My breakfast burrito was excellent! Premade burritos were available immediately, my burrito took ~5 minutes to make.Dietary restrictions: I’m lactose intolerant so they made me a fresh burrito (since they make their eggs with milk) and it was delicious!

I have been here twice. The first time, it was decent and they had a good buffalo chicken sandwich with acceptable service. However, when I went today, they had removed the buffalo chicken sandwich which is very unfortunate. I tried the spicy Italian, and when ordering, requested only the meat and spicy sauce. They informed me the spicy comes from pickled peppers so I asked them to stay on. When they served me, the sandwich had shredded lettuce, cheese, and red wine vinegar on it all of which I was NOT expecting. The dude talked down to me like a father asking his toddler what he wants to eat to try and resolve what I wanted. They remade it correctly and promptly, however the lady who took my order brought it out along with unappreciated passive-aggressive remarks blaming ME and saying that I said yes to having cheese despite my pretty clear original request: only meat and spicy. The tater tots were very crunchy which I wasn't a fan of. The sandwich was decent but very strong.Overall, the food was passable but removal of the buffalo chicken was disappointing. The service for this experience was unsatisfactory. I later checked out the butcher counter and asked about wings, and he was incredibly friendly. He is the only reason I am rating service and overall as high as I am. Unfortunately a few rotten apples spoil the barrel however.

Thank you so much to the entire staff tonight for a wonderful experience. I messed up our reservation, and the host and hostess were so kind about it. The food was amazing, the service - outstanding. We are three people who have a special bond and see each other about once a year, and were so glad we chose to meet up at Blackbelly. Thanks again - truly appreciate it and will be back. ❤️

Everyone was so friendly from the moment we stepped into the restaurant. Very cozy and a lovely dining experience. We sat at the counter and interacted with the team there. It was so great to see how they made everything!

Three of us went in for small plates to share during happy hour. The focaccia is worth the visit just by itself, so perfectly cooked and seasoned. It goes perfectly with the char siu on a stick, the homemade sausage, the cheese and meat platter. Service is impeccable and they don't rush you out. Not cheap but for a splurge happy hour you will leave with a smile on your face.Parking: Plenty of parking available right next to the restaurant
