Ordered online $42 worth of food the pizza was cold and they gave me the wrong order I was supposed to get breadsticks with pizza and got somebody else's pizza with sausage on it and I don't eat pork yuk! I ordered a chicken barbecue pizza and it had no chicken on it.The quality of this place has gone down since the last time I went will not return.

Pizza was ordered mid-afternoon for 6 pm pickup. Still had to wait 17 minutes. Ordered half Hawaiian, half sausage and mushroom. Ingredients were scattered all over, not to together on their half of the pizza.
Sauce and thin crust were good. Staff was friendly, and working hard. They were super busy, but not clear how online ordered are processed.
Will try again at a less busy time.

Called in an order at 8pm, went straight to voicemail saying they are closed. Called again and the same result. The hours online say they are open until 10pm. I decided to take the trip there to order in person as I had enjoyed their pizza in the past. This is on a Wednesday night and I live close by so I figured it wouldn’t be more than a 20-30 minute endeavor.
After placing my order for a single pizza and breadsticks, while mentioning that phones were shut down and that their open sign was switched off, despite serving costumers, I was told it would be 10-15 minutes. Went to wait in my car with my girlfriend and came back 15 minutes later only to wait 10 more minutes before someone finally asked me for my name.
I was then told that they hadn’t even started to make my order because I paid using a student meal card. I have paid with this method before and this has never happened, and I overheard another person with order difficulties so I don’t think I was alone.
It is ridiculous that a store can just shut off their open sign and turn off the phones multiple hours before closing time, and then proceed to completely forget the order of the one person who comes in to order while servicing tons of other pickup orders using third party apps. Thankfully they make a good pizza, but I have never experienced a more confused operation. The employees were nice and offered a soda or cookie to me, but I think there needs to be a change in the POS so that orders don’t keep vanishing. Good pizza! Call ahead… if they have the phones on…

We placed an order for a kids birthday party early (7am) on a Saturday morning for 11:45 delivery to Scott Carpenter Pool, about a half mile from the store. We called at 11:50, and Angel told us “the driver is on his way.” We called again at 12:15, she put us on hold to call the driver but left us on hold and never returned to the call. At 12:20 we called again and asked for the driver’s number. Called him, and he was standing in the store picking up the pizzas at 12:25pm. We finally got our order around 12:35, 50 minutes late. If they had just been honest the first time we called, we could have sent someone to pick it up. Looking back we found that we had ordered from this store 2 years ago for a bday party, and when we showed up for carry-out they said they didn’t have our order, and we waited 45 min for them to cook it. Maybe fine for a walk-in order but we will definitely never order for an event from this location again. Update: The store called and offered us a refund on our order. It sounds like they are under newer management and trying to get it right. I hope they can, because we'd love to see this location do well.

I've been living in the area since Covid 2020 and regretfully, have never been to Black Jack pizza on Walnut. I finally went in today and was very courteously greeted. I ordered a personal size pizza with the thinner crust. My gosh was it so delicious I had to tell the proprietors. I went to Florence Italy last year on a culinary excursion and while the pizza there is very good (hey, it's Italy, of course it will be good), I can truly attest that the one I had at Black Jack's was tastier--and without a surly European attitude towards Americans. haha They have a wonderful marinara with good flavor, & not too sweet. I learned they hand make their marinara fresh. I look forward to trying their signature "detroit style" pizza and am hoping they can pull of a good margherita. Recognize that whil I gave the Atmosphere 3 stars, I did so b/c it's mostly a To-Go and pick up location, but overall I was incredibly impressed how clean it was, and having worked in the restaurant industry in my past, that's an A plus in my book. See you all next week!
Vegetarian options: They do have veggies for pizza toppings.
Wheelchair accessibility: It's in a strip mall and there are parking spaces for disabled individuals and no need for a ramp, etc.
