I’m sure you can find better places. The miso soup was extremely salty! All you could taste was pure salty soy sauce. If you enjoy overly salty food, then go ahead, but this is not the miso soup I know or was expecting. The rolls were decent, at least they weren’t salty, but you can find better quality elsewhere. As for the edamame, it seemed like they were just taken out of a frozen bag with a ton of salt dumped on top. The service wasn’t great either. The waiter spilled a little bit of my soup on the table and didn’t bother to clean it, then placed another plate on top of the mess.
On top of that, everything is overpriced, and honestly, the quality doesn’t match the price. It feels more like a fast food place where you wouldn’t expect much, but with inflated prices. Overall, I’m sure there are better places to try.

Mediocre at best. Compared to other boulder sushi spots, it has lower quality fish at a higher price.

Great intimate spot for anything from a happy hour drink to omakase. Hard to beat $2 beers with what Boulder has become these days.
I need to come back for the Alaskan Salmon the owner caught before they run out.

Great Sushi (better and fresher than Hapa) with a more casual vibe than Hapa Sushi. The place is smaller and less of a vibe we dined in and we’re the only people there but maybe we went at an off time. Would come back again. Get the black miso cod plate :)

The sushi was good, but not excellent. The restaurant is very tiny with mostly high top tables that aren't super comfortable. All of this would be okay except that it was very pricey. So, when you're spending several hundred dollars on a meal, you really want to feel like it was worth it. We, unfortunately, didn't feel that way. I'm sure running a high quality sushi restaurant in an economy like this isn't easy. Things are expensive, so I get it. I just think we have other sushi restaurants we would prefer for this price point with better food and a better atmosphere.
Excellent sushi! Even considering it was in the Rockies, a surprisingly seasonal and diverse selection served with imagination. Fois gras sushi was fantastic. Ambience is pretty basic - if more than 6 or 8 people are there it's crowded. And, if there's two parties or more at the long tables, it's uncomfortably cramped. For the price, there should be better seating.
Excellent service, excellent food. Cute little store with great and helpful staff. Had a life changing experience on the Sake.

Great intention but falling flat on execution …
rice cookery needs work
Leafy salads are a risk always in this environment - skip it here too - dressing is out of balance and doesn’t make sense based on the simplicity of the lettuces
Ratios of ingredients demonstrate lack of understanding of the way components actually “Eat”
Probably 10-15% over comp market pricing
Solid sake list but staff knows not about the cuisine nor beverage
The themes of fresh delivered from
Japan come like spiel at a rainforest cafe - just a spiel … no connection to the why or tradition
Rolls lack finesse,.. good in copy but again, short in execution
Beers are magically warm
Nori is great quality
Sushi cook is full of passion and zeal
…. Needs to stage in Japan and feel the culture
Service is Boulder grunge cute … as a reminder,.. this is a well educated and well traveled town … be cautious about lecturing on the basics .. it’s tiring .. save it for the tourists wearing cologne and Mickey mouse shirts.
Love the setting ….
You guys need to develop a reason to come here over there other 6 spots in town … as
Of yet,.. I’m
Not feeling it … find your niche and stand up straight

Blofish is the best sushi in town by a landslide. If you’re looking for busy rolls with questionable fish quality covered in three different sauces, go to Hapa. But if you like to eat and enjoy the flavor of every bite with the highest quality fish, look no further. Service is impeccable, the atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the food is phenomenal. The space is small so make sure you reserve a table. Check Blofish out!

So good!!!
Best sushi in Boulder by far, especially considering the fish is flown from Japan! The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of all specialty fish. In terms of price, similar to Japango but all the more worth it for higher quality. Will be returning!

The food all tasted the same, no flavor. For the pricing, could've gone to sushi den. The service and restaurant was nice, I don't see a problem with its small size. The Wasabi has no spice or flavor, tasted like avocado. I'm not sure if it's because it's in boulder, but the food was not good. The ginger was great though.

Great food to go. Kind of bro-y service which as a woman is off putting. Friendly but not great service. I notice the two guys on front of house staff catering to a male customers and not being helpful to the two women.
