We used to eat lunch here three times a week. But we realized that the three soups only change rarely. The past fewweekd and probably before then the same exact soups were served for seven days. This is a health hazard. Food should not be reheated after two days max. Unfortunately we won’t be going to Breadworks anymore. It used to be our fav place. Now we are afraid that se will get sick, plus who wants to eat the same soup every day. Why did Breadworks change so badly

I understand that at times their offerings are not great for the price which is a shame because the food is generally quite good.
I especially love their breakfast items, quiche and spinach pie, as well as their salmon, chicken salad to-go and soups! I cannot eat much gluten anymore unfortunately but love their bread and fruit tarts.
Recently seems like they have more staff, hope they can hold on to them, this place is a Boulder staple!
I appreciate their Jewish holiday offerings as well

I love to come here for their great soups. For about $5 you can get soup with a few slices of bread. However, this summer there hasn’t been air-conditioning. The staff told me it has been broken for months. They are clearly uncomfortable working in the heat and I found it uncomfortable to be there. I really miss the fresh salad bar. Also the place is getting run down. There’s a huge buckle in the floor near the bathrooms that is a serious trip hazard; the finish on several of the laminated tables is messed up — at first I thought it was caked-on food. I’ve been really sad to see how the place is neglected and going downhill. This has been one of my favorite lunch places for years, but the heat and neglect is getting too much for me. I truly hope the management gets back on top of things and brings it back to its former, better days. There are so many great places in Boulder, it’s going to be hard to compete. I would truly hate to lose BreadWorks…

I’ve shopped there for many years. Quality of prepared dinners have gone downhill. Bought Chicken Enchiladas and Turkey Pot Pie. Short on tomatillo and cheese for enchiladas just loaded with chicken and very dry. The Strawberry Rhubarb pie was awful. Pie crust should be light flaky and buttery the crust was like a thick pizza dough and filling gelatinous with no recognizable fruit. Turkey pot pie was just okay. I spent a good amount of money and won’t be going back. Very disappointed
$4+ for a plain and sub-standard croissant. Pricing is insane.
Horribly rude employees, they don’t even know the price of the food that they’re selling and then they give you an attitude when you ask what the price is. You can tell when a place is poorly managed by the attitude of their customer service representatives. Obviously, this place is less than, well managed!

Delicious fresh baked bread! Many different types, and they'll slice it for you if you want. Yum! Impressive because they are baking at altitude.
The employees knew about the breads and were helpful -- not sure why other reviewers are grumpy. Happy to know about this place!

This place used to be a great place to go eat. The last dozen times I have been in, the customer services has been quite poor. I have waited to order a sandwich, while the staff behind the counter finished their conversation in spanish. They looked at me and then kept talking among themselves, their answers are short, maybe they dont understand becuase of a language barrier, but no repsone or a rude one is not ok. If you dont understand english then a different position maybe better than the front counter. Food quality has also drastically decreased, bummer

They need gluten free options.
Texan on vacation here. Wandered into this place after grabbing coffee and was not disappointed. We got a small lemon poppyseed loaf and it was pretty yummy. Not too lemony which for my is perfect because I’m not big on lemon. Very affordable bread selection.

I paid $18 (after tip) for a dry, skinny piece of salmon… especially after deciding against going to a chain (Cava) to support local… I’m baffled. I could have gotten a meal with a drink and a side for this money at a different restaurant. I definitely won’t be coming back.
