We had never visited this place, but today was game day at the University of Colorado for football so we decided to pop in about an hour before game time. Normally, in Boulder, you have difficulty finding a place to eat or even a place to park, but we found several parking spaces and were promptly seated in a booth. The place was less than half full on a Saturday so close to the University. The server was fast and attentive as was the host and other people. I ordered just regular pancakes and I would say they were way to big and tasteless. My son ordered a caramel roll and something else. The caramel roll was massive and a pile of sugar. Way too much food and just not good. The service was great. The coffee had grounds floating in it. We wanted to like this place, but average is being nice. Boulder is like that; average and overpriced or great and overpriced. I doubt we would try it again; Boulder has way too many places to settle for less than average.

Three generational party of 5 for Brunch. Packed as post CU football game and faced with a 40 minute wait we found seating at the "bar" where we were told we could order our meals there. Bison burger was inedible and cold. My "Basic" breakfast cold as well, oddly the two eggs over medium came with nearly only the yokes (as if the whites had been cut away), Chicken sandwich, bland. Wait staff missing in action and I had to get my own silverware after our meals were dropped off. Asked repeatedly for a small amount of milk for my coffees, was ignored and when arrived, it promptly curdled in the coffee. The Griddle biscuit was luke warm and waitstaff failed to bring the promised plum jam. I did enjoy my three strips of bacon then pushed the plate away. I understand you can have difficulties with staff, or difficulties with a meal, but WOW huge fail on all fronts.

Short wait time. Food was over priced for what we ordered: Cheese burger and fries- fries were pale in color and had no flavor. Burger was ok - bottom bun was soggy. French toast did not look like photo- it did not arrive with powered sugar and server took it back into kitchen, brought it back with hat appeared to a a flick of powdered sugar. Again, French toast had no flavor even with syrup. I asked it it was real maple syrup and was told yes but I’m not 100% sure as it was served out of original container. I ordered tenders with mine which were missing. Told the food runner and she said ok. Never got them . Husband’s biscuits and gravy was ok but not worth the price. Chicken tenders- horrible. It seemed as though they took frozen tenders, dropped into cold oil as they were a strange color and texture. Our hotel had better breakfast for free than what we paid for. Very disappointing first meal in Boulder.

We had a wonderful lunch at Doug’s Diner on our way from RMNP to the Denver airport. There is a great variety for everyone to find something they want. And after a week of traveling it was the cheapest meal we had all week and it was very, very good!

By far the best place we have eaten on our entire trip to Colorado!! We had breakfast and was pleasantly surprised at how good the omelettes were. It came with hash browns and the biggest biscuit I’ve ever had! Their homemade jam really topped it off! Our waitress also made it a wonderful experience! Would definitely recommend!

Delicious! So many good options and just good, classic breakfast food. Went on a Sunday with party of 6 and wait was only 10-15 minutes. Biscuits are amazing, order them as your side. Have to order their cinnamon roll (definitely to share--it's huge!!). Pavo omelette was delicious and got the homemade strawberry jam for the biscuit.

As the diners close around us in NYC, it’s wonderful to find this spot while visiting our daughter at CU. The menu is elevated and the food is delicious. Reasonably priced and great atmosphere.

I took my young daughter to Doug's Diner on the morning of Sept. 26, 2022 and stood waiting for nearly 10 minutes waiting to be seated. Finally I went looking for someone working there to ask if we should merely seat ourselves and was told by the young waiter in a very hostile tone of voice, "Do you think you're the only one on the planet?" He then added " I saw you there" and then again asked if I thought I was the only person on the planet and walked away after pointing to where we should sit. At that point my daughter and I decided to leave and have breakfast somewhere else.

This restaurant has moved to the Basemar Center on Baseline and Broadway. I would like to review it when Yelp creates a page for it. Thank you.

Outstanding diner with TexMex elements. You could eat omelets for a month and never repeat a meal or regret a choice. They’ve moved so make sure that your GPS takes you to Baseline Road.

My wife and I had a delicious lunch after walking around the CU campus. I had the Reuben sandwich and she had a breakfast burrito.

Dougs Day Dinner takes the diner of the 50s and infuses it with a yuppified hippness. It works, I think. The staff is friendly and the service efficient. The blueberry pancakes are excellent, substantial and can easily serve two people. We enjoyed our meal and, when we return to Boulder, will probably return to DDD.

huges combo breakfasts with very fair pricing! It was clean and staff was really friendly! They were really quick too, no wait for a Sunday breakfast table and out food was out within 10 mins

Nice atmosphere friendly people good service excellent food. The turkey sausage was spicy and some of the best diet ever eaten but highly recommend the place if you want breakfast food with a little bit different flair.
