I would recommend Dot’s to anyone I know!! The food was excellent, particularly the French toast and the huevos rancheros. The service was friendly and quick, and the atmosphere is friendly and charming.

Dot’s my favorite place in Boulder, restaurant or not. Love the food and the staff. It’s a great place — 10/10 would recommend.

I've been coming to this restaurant for years but the quality of food and service has gone down significantly. At my last visit , I was served sausages that were not only burnt , they looked moldy. They were covered in hard bumps . It didn't even resemble a sausage . The food for the most part was quite disgusting and I couldn't even stomach it nor did the people I was with . Interestingly enough everyone else's food at the restaurant looked pretty decent. Also worth mentioning, I am a queer woman and I noticed a significant change in recent months in the quality of the food and service when coming in with my partner or other lgbt people I know . The quality is distinctively good when I eat there with guy friends of mine , and is a noticeable enough difference that I feel that the service is bad because of homophobic staff . Our drinks aren't refilled and the waiters and waitresses completely avoid us , vs when I come with my guy friends and the service and food is amazing. I will not be coming back because of this distinctive difference in service and food quality and largely because of the implicit homophobia.

Every time I eat here, it’s like a home cooked meal. The eggs are free range, the coffee’s organic, and they have plenty of variety if I’m not game for a traditional breakfast...There’s the standards, which keep ‘em coming back, and then substitutions like gluten free, oat milk, all the important Boulder things. It’s a relief to find somewhere that has vegetarian sausages! and Of course they figured out the best recipe in town for gluten free pancakes with real maple syrup! What’s also a treat is they always have an authentic Nepalese selection because half the staff are from Pokhara, Nepal. If you love chai, they’ve got it down! This is the quintessential diner, a Boulder icon. There’s even photos of traditional diners in some of the booths. What a treat. Completely eclectic diner decor with gorgeous metal photographs for sale on the walls. And to top it off…The wait staff couldn’t be kinder and more accommodating.

The food is amazing, and the service was top-notch. The breakfast burrito is one of the best I have ever had, but I have never had a bad meal there. It is a boulder landmark and has a rich history.

Bad food !! I love biscuits and gravy. Even horrible roadside stuff from a can. But the gravy here is not edible, I usually don’t complain. But, the southern says ham, biscuit, gravy (homemade) grits and eggs. Ham was thin sliced sandwich meat fried (never have seen this anywhere) gross, gravy was disgusting, grits were poor at best. Biscuit and eggs were decent. I will eat almost anything and couldn’t eat this meal. Will not be returning. I really wanted to like this place. But wow, the food was soooo bad.

Great food and coffee! First breakfast place I've been to that actually knows how to crisp hash browns. I will definitely be returning to try out their other menu items.
