Loved the Efrain's Burrito - a chef's choice specialty that was the perfect messy and flavorful meal I was looking for.

Incredible chili verde. Like best I’ve ever had. Spicy, tangy, and the pork is lean and flavorful. Wouldn’t change a thing. 🌶️

I was really excited to try this place. My coworkers absolutely loved it. They told me it was spicy and delicious. Neither were true. I got the chicken chimichanga and it was as bland as it could be. No flavor. I asked for it covered in queso because that's standard for chimichangas, but no, they put this green chili stuff on top instead, and it was awful. I've never once had a chimichanga where queso wasn't the standard, until last week. Way too expensive for such low quality. When the rice and beans are the best part...that's a problem.

Great food

This place has completely changed my opinion of refried beans. I thought I didn't like them at all. Wrong, apparently! Not only did I like them, I fear I will never like anywhere else's. Price point is excellent, too.

This place has set a bar for nachos that I fear will never be met by another restaurant. I am ruined. I am undone. I have eaten more Mexican food than I can remember, and I feel like today I have eaten it for the first time. Incredible. Everything about the food tasted homemade. Even the chips and salsa. Even the dang iced tea.

It's on the smaller side for a good restaurant, but I counted 9 staff members when I was there. The service was quick and friendly, and the food was flavorful.

Efrain’s of Boulder always delivers on great ambience, food and friendly staff. But you should already know that…and if you don’t - it’s time to visit what will certainly become your favorite Mexican restaurant!

The Chile Verde was amazing. I also ordered a side of grilled jalapeños that were done to perfection. I wish the chile verde came with more tortillas.

This is Boulder's best Mexican restaurant imo. The chicken chimi is so friggin' good. Even the rice and beans taste special. Every time I've eaten here, I've basically licked my plate clean. The only slight negative is the open floor plan where you are sitting within inches of complete strangers.

Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Atmosphere is wonderful and spacious, the tables aren’t all crowded together and food is delicious! We love it here!

Not your generic Mexican restaurant - beautifully prepared and fresh delicious recipes (which they modified to accommodate my preference), hearty portions, extremely friendly and accommodating staff, comfortable seating, lovely decor, etc. The porch area was a bit loud, but we waited just a few minutes for a booth inside.
