For decades Falafel King was one of my favorites and I even used them for catered meals, but it's taken a nose dive recently. The portion sizes have gotten so small that after going there, I had to get some food elsewhere to be satisfied. Even the falafel balls have gotten smaller. And this is with a steep rise in the prices. After two meals there, just to make sure it wasn't just a bad day the first time, I'm done with them.

So many great things about this place! The food is consistently delicious. The newest addition to the menu, the pocket, is exceptional! The pita bread is unique and the falafel‘s are beyond delicious! The meals are always accompanied by a friendly staff and a cozy and upbeat environment. Highly recommended!

It had a subtle kick to the gyros. I'm not sure if it was in the tzatziki or the meat but my husband and I both liked it. The dolmas and tabouli were better than the baba ganoush which was our least favorite of the sides.

The best Falafal I’ve ever eaten. Perfect size, texture and flavor. If one likes Mediterranean food, after eating here you will love it for sure.

Delicious and super friendly staff!

Always loved eating here and was very happy to find it just as I remember. Still love the gyros and baklava. Social distancing while ordering is a challenge but they try hard. It is mainly up to the customers to be courteous as space is very limited.

Great food. Best gyro my kids ever had

Good was very good, along with customer service. My only criticism is that we told the workers that we were gonna sit outside to eat. After waiting 10 minutes, we went back in and were told they gave our order to somebody else while waiting. Not something to be angry about, but it could have been an inconvenience had we been on a time restraint.

We were strolling the lovely Pearl Street Mall and found Falafel King at just the right time - we were hungry! Got our “to go” falafels and ate them outside in the shade on an inviting park bench - we could not have been happier! Very fresh and savory. The gentleman who served us may have been the owner. He was most kind and friendly. We’ll be back for more! Thank you Falafel King!

The falafel is to die for! It is light on the inside with a deliciously crispy coating. The sides are delicious and authentic, especially the baba ganoush. The staff are charming and welcoming. We have visited Boulder 4 times over the past 2 years and have made a point of coming back here every time!

My husband and I stopped by their small patio (3 tables) with our little furry one and I stayed outside to pup-sit and people-watch while he ordered. They give you tastes if you cannot make up your mind (their menu is comprehensive), but I knew what I wanted from seeing another table's plates: gyro with beef and lamb. Delicious. Absolutely delicious. He came back with a shawarma plate that was loaded with meat, salad, hummus, and pickled veg, along with falafel, pita, and baba ganoush. They have an amazing selection of tea and lemonade, too.

Great shwarma. Great falafel. Trip advisor needs to stop requiring 100 characters bc that’s all I need to say.

On 7/23/19 we were walking by when a worker from this restaurant offered us a sample of the falafel. My daughter and I happily sampled, but then the man asked my 7 year old son if he wanted some, and he said, "No, I have an allergy." The man told him it was vegan and had no milk, and we insisted that our son didn't eat from restaurants due to cross contamination. He kept pushing us, questioning, "Why won't you let him try it?" "It only has these ingredients, what are you scared of?", etc, etc, and I kept politely explaining (we should have just walked away). He then turned to my husband and asked, "Are you going to control your wife?" My husband informed him that this was not a big deal, but that he didn't want to use a shot of Epinepherin in the middle of Pearl Street, and we walked away. It provided us a good opportunity to talk to our kids, age 7 and 9, about peer pressure and bullying. But it left us all shocked and upset that he would act like that. To treat a family like this over a 7 year old's life threatening allergy is absolutely inexcusable.

This place has very local vibe, unlike the chain type places. You order at the counter and then sit. Food is exactly what you would expect no surprises which is nice.

Was hoping for really amazing falafel. Ordered a combo plate with chicken, hummus, Greek salad, pita, etc. It was average- falafel good but small, pita old. Small portions for price. Had baklava and it was old, lost it’s crisp.
