This was much more than a dinner. It was a fine dining "experience"!! After complimentary valet parking, the Hostess Desk already knew we had arrived! Same when we left, our car was waiting for us. That bookended a journey through 5 delectable courses. Each course was explained in great detail. Highly recommend!

Flagdstaff made such a wonderful effort in making our 30th Anniversary truly special in so many ways. An excellent place to mark a special occasion!

Incredible experience featuring courses prepared with precision and great taste. View is incredible and ambiance equally amazing. But, don't expect large portions as you are paying in excess for the skill and quality of ingredients.

Lovely setting, exquisite service Way too much food with all the extras Food beautifully presented but not as delicious as we hoped. Rate went up 50% without our being notified.

What a wonderful experience for our first visit! Matt, our server was well informed and explained , in detail, any question we had. Couldn't have had a better server! Our guide and sommelier Brody and his assistant were outstanding on guiding us on wine pairings and descriptions! Now to the food, every bite we had was perfect in every detail!!!! Has a wonderful view of Boulder along with a beautiful interior. This restaurant was outstanding across the board!!! Ps. I must include the great staff that greeted and seated us along with speedy valet service. Thank-you for giving us an experience we will never forget and we will be back!

We just had our wedding here and I can’t rave enough about Annie, the events coordinator. The entire event went off amazingly and I think wonderful staff at the Flagstaff House were a big part of making our day special.

The food was amazing and the location is very hard to beat for the greater Denver-Boulder area. The venue is best for more intimate events I would argue (we had 35 guests), but at no time did it feel empty or overly crowded.

The staff did everything they could to make our day feel special.

We have also dined here before and again, amazing food, atmosphere, and service. I have had Michelin-starred restaurants that don’t even come close to the Flagstaff house, so if you are in the area, put it at the top of your list.

A dining experience like none other in Colorado. The leisurely savoring of each exquisitely prepared course, with service beyond compare, perfect silence, perfect overview of Boulder.

Incredible from start to finish, and such a beautiful space/view. The attention to detail was amazing, we never needed more water or wine poured, the explanation and presentation of the dishes were great, portions were perfect for a five course meal and of course everything was delicious. Oliver was an amazing server and it was a very special night for us!

Best view in Boulder. Five course meal was yummy for $148. Price is a little steep, but that's life.

We came to Flagstaff House to celebrate our anniversary, having had an outstanding experience here previously with a larger group. Unfortunately, our dinner for two—over $775—fell far short of expectations.

The evening started with promise: our menus had our anniversary printed on them, which felt special, but they were later taken away and never returned as a keepsake. From there, the attention to detail unraveled. After ordering sparkling water, we were later refilled with flat. One cocktail had so much ice it was distracting, while another, though tasty, was served in a large clunky glass that made it unpleasant to drink. Twice I had to ask for crumbs to be cleared, and the second time the waiter actually sprayed the table with a bottle while silverware was still set.

Course after course was inconsistent. The canape tartare was overwhelmed by mustard, and the plating looked tired. The melon palate cleanser and roasted Palisade peaches were flavorless. The tuna crudo and squash blossom were decent, though again lacking in presentation. The salmon was overcooked, the soft shell crab both overcooked and poorly plated, though the Berkshire BLT was one of the highlights. Our wine pairings were hit or miss—the first good, the next two poor—and our server even misidentified one pairing, leaving us unsure if we were given the correct wine at all.

For mains, the Wagyu was cooked well, but the sauce ruined it, and the lobster was forgettable. The lamb was good, but again plating felt uninspired. Desserts were equally disappointing: the lemon macarons and cheesecake cleanser lacked flavor, the gelato was inedible, and the cinnamon roll had little cinnamon. The chocolate pecan entremet was the standout, while the apple spice cake was just fine.

Service did not help the experience. Our server seemed lackluster and unknowledgeable compared to others around us, and at no point did the manager stop by to check in.

For a restaurant of this caliber, and at this price point, the lack of attention to detail, inconsistent food, poor plating, and uninspired service were extremely disappointing. What should have been a special celebration felt like a missed opportunity, and sadly, we left more frustrated than fulfilled.

Flagstaff house is a staple in Boulder. The location is beautiful, and it's overly staffed, and everyone is very friendly. I have to be honest though, the food didn't wow me. It took too long in between dishes, and some of it was OK. For this price, you expect the top of the line. The baked goods in particular were less than special. It's a prefix menu too, so options are very limited.

I took my wife to Flagstaff House for her birthday and we had an incredible experience. Every course and wine pairing was perfection and the service is top tier. You would be hard pressed to find another restaurant with a better atmosphere. The views, tables, artwork, place settings, and lighting all add to the delicious meal for an unforgettable night.

Dinned in at the flagstaff house last night. It was an amazing experience. Our server Adam was amazing, good conversationalist and he really made our night special. The food was spectacular, we had 5 courses and it was the perfect amount of food. All courses had a lot of intention behind the ingredients being used! Such a treat to have been able to dine in! Worth every penny!

My (now!) husband and I had our wedding here. Annie and the whole staff at Flagstaff House were amazing. Communication was professional and prompt. Annie is such a seasoned wedding coordinator. She was so thoughtful in all the details, reminding us of things we missed, and making sure everything was perfect. The venue was beautiful! The views are gorgeous and everything inside (table settings, windows, furniture) was great. The food was also delicious. We had so many guests come up to us afterwards telling us what an amazing meal they had. I've often associated big events with mediocre catered food, but this place was exceptional. Annie and everyone there did such a good job of making sure everything went smoothly. We highly recommend this venue for weddings. Even if you're not having a wedding, it's still worth having a meal here as the food and views are great too.

I rarely ever leave reviews but after sitting on this all night I felt I needed to say something. I would only rate it one star if it wasn’t for our server, Adam, and his amazing service. But everything else was unfortunately disappointing.

We had such high hopes for this place after hearing about how wonderful it is but we had a totally different experience. We came to celebrate our anniversary and were prepared to spend a pretty penny on an incredible experience that we thought we were going to be getting. But unfortunately the food was not worth half of what we paid for it and we felt more than a little ripped off. The portions were laughably tiny. Like really. It was like you were getting teased with 2 bites of food every 20-30 minutes (yes that’s how long it took each “course” to come out, expect to be here for at least 2 hours) but yet you never got to experience a real meal. My husband and I both left hungry and frustrated. The dishes were either overly salty or underwhelming in flavor. For example, I got the rack of lamb for one of the courses and the risotto it was on top of was terribly dry and undercooked.

Another thing was there was so many servers and other workers standing/moving around that it was a little overwhelming. You would take one sip of water and someone would run up to refill your cup. I left the table for a moment and came back and my napkin was gone with a new one in it’s place. While I appreciate the gesture, it felt like we were being watched and had no privacy. My husband and I could not even hold a conversation because there would be a different person coming to our table for something every minute or so. It felt like the employees were bored and were desperate for something to do since there were so many of them.

Overall I would not recommend this place and would encourage you to check out other restaurants in the area whose food is incredible and portioned correctly.
