Excellent breads. Lower rating due to value. The prices may be considered more palatable (heh) if you get a free slice of bread or 2 to “offset” your purchase. I was quite shocked at the $10.95 price for a sliced loaf- something I used to consider a staple. Now it will have to be a special occasion. The decor was controversial and questionable.

I’m so sad to leave this review because we loved Great Harvest for years. The gluten free pumpkin bread was the best around. We would gift it to everyone . We aren’t even GF but preferred it over the other. The recipe must have changed because it is now dry and dense when it used to be moist and fluffy. The chocolate chips went from big chunks to mini chips.i always order multiple loaves because my family can eliminate one in a day! But now i have expensive bread that might be goat food. I also ordered chicken salad, which was so salty I could not finish it. I hope they can get back on track to what it used to be soon.

I used to be a customer for years until the new owners took over recently. The remodel is a disaster! Why block off the front now with that stupid wall. Also, they dumbed down the breads as they come in tins instead of the loaf you can see in its wrapper. Also, they removed many of the breads I was fond of and the loafs look much smaller now. You have done a great job of losing an existing customer.

Came here on their grand re-opening, and it didn’t disappoint! Amazing bread and a fantastic sandwich! Southwest melt with turkey hit the spot!

Love the bread here! I purposefully go out of my way for the pepperoni bread and buy as many loaves as I can juggle. Please don't ever stop making the pepperoni bread, it's fantastic!!
First time here and won’t be back. Walked in and went to the cash register to order. Only ones here. Employee pointed to a table with order forms, which is not visible when you walk in because it is behind you when you’re inside. Asked we right down our order forms him because it’s just “easier for him.” So we had to go write it down and hand it to him to put in the cash register! Only got 2 sandwiches, no meals, and a large tea. Large tea was the size of a standard drinking cup and almost $5. At 1pm, they had no more tea for two people and no more lemonade at all. Only canned drinks and bottled water. 2 sandwiches, 1 small cup of iced black tea and a bottle of water - $53!!! And they played screaming head banging music that you can hardly hear or talk to each other over. Fly catch sticky paper hanging in food prep areas with fly carcasses on n full view of patrons. Disgusting.

This is a childhood relic for me. I live in Texas and we don’t have any GHBC left there so I had to stop in. The smell alone, but couple that with the free sample of bread when you walk in…amazing. Service was a little slow but not terrible. Definite must go.

Maybe because it was a Sunday or maybe something else? Service was terrible. “coffee” was in a dispenser and lukewarm at best. $6 for coffee that I could have made at home with nothing really in stock to go with it. Cinnamon rolls were hard and crunchy with no icing on them. I have never ever given a low review but this time it was justified. There is a bagel shop nearby and a much better place to stop instead.

Best Bakery in town. They gave us a sample to try cinnamon bread with butter and honey. A must must try.
Great Harvest, more like Greatest Harvest.
I’m gluten sensitive so I can’t eat as much from there as I’d like, but I remember loving the Oregon herb and their gf bread is pretty good. The cinnamon rolls are to die for of course, and I really enjoy their chicken salad sandwich

First time customer- I went in this morning for a gluten free muffin and Americano. The man that helped me was so kind. The muffin and coffee were delicious! He gave me a sample of the gluten free bread and it was absolutely amazing! 11/8/24

I recently purchased a blueberry scone from the Great Harvest Bread Company, excited by the promise of a warm, buttery treat. Unfortunately, my anticipation quickly turned to disappointment upon my first bite. The scone was dry and crumbly, lacking the moistness that one expects from a freshly baked pastry. Instead of a delightful texture, it felt more like chewing on a piece of stale bread.
The flavor was equally uninspiring. Rather than a burst of sweet, tangy blueberries, I found only a few scattered bits that were nearly indistinguishable from the bland dough. The scone was overwhelmingly tasteless, leaving me longing for the rich buttery notes that should have complemented the fruit. Instead, it felt like a missed opportunity, devoid of the sweet, comforting flavors that make a blueberry scone so appealing.
As I continued to eat, I noticed an off-putting aftertaste that lingered unpleasantly. It was as if the ingredients had been thrown together without any thought for balance or flavor enhancement. A sprinkle of sugar or a hint of vanilla would have made a world of difference, but the scone was seemingly stripped of any character. It felt more like a chore to finish than a treat to savor.
Presentation, too, was lacking. The scone appeared rather uninviting, with a dull color that did little to whet my appetite. In a world where visual appeal often sets the stage for culinary enjoyment, this scone fell flat. It was as if the bakery had neglected the art of pastry-making, serving up a product that looked as unappealing as it tasted.
In conclusion, my experience with this blueberry scone was far from satisfactory. Between the dry texture, lack of flavor, and unappealing presentation, I was left feeling let down. I had hoped for a delightful snack but instead encountered a bland and forgettable pastry. I can only hope that the bakery improves its recipe, as there’s certainly potential for a fantastic blueberry scone if they can overcome these shortcomings.
