Hogback Distillery was a great stop during our stay in Estes Park! Graeme and Catherine were very welcoming and the whiskies were all great! My personal favorite was the Oak & Aspen bourbon, but we had a hard time narrowing down bottles to take home! We’ll definitely come back next time we’re in Estes Park!

We just LOVED Graeme and Catherine! They both have such sweet dispositions, and you can really tell how much care they put into what they do. We got to enjoy samples, and Catherine surprised us with different versions of Old Fashions! We are from Texas, and we are already planning on buying a bottle of their whiskey when we get to come back to Estes Park! (definitely already planning our next trip!)

I had heard rave reviews of Hogback Distillery from friends and the tasting experience was even better than expected. Graeme is a master of his craft, and it was hard choosing only one bottle to bring home. Definitely a must for any whisky or bourbon lovers, and I will be back on my next visit for sure.

This place is so cute and they have the best chocolate old fashioned (with bonus chocolate covered cherries). What a cute and homey setting at the gateway to RMNP! They also offer free whisky tastings!

I attended the cask strength tour and was blown away by the quality and flavor of every product Hogback Distiilery makes. It was so difficult to decide which bottle I wanted to buy as I was traveling by plane or I would have likely bought one of each! It was amazing learning more about the process of making whiskey from Graeme Wallace. It was very refreshing to see someone so passionate about what they do! His knowledge and desire to share it with the group was top notch! The ability to sample so much of their product, ask questions, discuss everything and anything, and not feel rushed out only added to the overall awesome experience! I highly recommend the drive to Boulder for anyone in the Denver area!

The distillery primarily focuses on Scotch single malt, but the expressions of their Bourbon and rye are also beyond spectacular. Unlike other big distilleries, Hogback spent more than two hours with the small group of people and answered all the questions during the tour. Whether you are a whisky novice or expert, visiting Hogback is a must experience in Boulder.
