I recently had lunch here with a friend who comes to this restaurant often. I do not believe the owner is racist at all. I am Asian, my friend is Caucasian. It was my first time here and it was a great experience! The sweet owner did not ask me to type this review, did not pay me nor did he bribe me to. To the reviewers, who think this way, you are most likely a troll, a hater, a discriminator who wants to shut down this elderly man’s business. This place is managed by one person who is the owner and he does everything from taking orders, cooking the food, bussing tables, etc. Check the hours before you go, he closes for an hour sometime during the day. Then opens the restaurant back up again. The decorations are so adorable! Many of the items looks like little trinkets he has collected from maybe traveling? The place feels homey and the food is so delicious and comforting! The ingredients are fresh! Sometimes, you can’t order something on the menu, but that is ok. Please order something else and move on instead of whining about it. I ordered the spicy tofu soup and the galbi short ribs. My order came with rice and three side dishes. The portions are small, but not baby small like the previous reviewer had over exaggerated. Don’t expect coming here being served American portions. I am not too sure why this restaurant has negative reviews, if you are a brat, do not have any patience and understanding do not eat here! This place is truly a gem!

Update: I’ve been here more than a handful of times since my first review. The customer service and food has always been consistent.

This place deserves no star really, my friend and I want to grab a quick lunch at this place. Nobody was in front so we walked in with our mask on of course. The old guy walked out from the back with no mask on and tell us to wait. He put his mask on and then told us next time you wait outside, don’t come into the restaurant. I was okay with that except we didn’t see any posted sign to tell us so. We then got a menu and after a quick look, I have a question about a dish of what kind of meat is it. He didn’t answer but told me to look at the menu which it didn’t say the meat at lunch special but said it in other section. Well a nice server would have tell you of course. My friend then try to order a sparkling water and he say he didn’t have that so my friend tried to look to the back in the fridge to see what else they have but the guy again tell him to look at the menu and say all drinks are on the menu! Well, we did and that sparkling water was on the menu but you don’t have it. We then okay, let’s order some food. So we try to order one of the lunch special, and guest what, he said they don’t have that either. So we now got a bit upset, got up and started to walk out from that place! OMG, why did he keep telling us to look at the menu and then don’t serve those stuff, instead he could just nicely tell us what they have and such but he didn’t. What a poor service and zero impression at all. We would not set our foot to this place again and I just warn everyone, read the other one star comments to help you decide if you want to go eat there.

Boulders best bulgogi. After many Americanized greasy experiences elsewhere I finally have a go to restaurant for my cravings

Galbi (short rib) is out of this world!!! Jap-Chae (noodle stir fried with beef) is also incredible! So authentic!

We are from Houston, Texas, and there were hundreds of Korean restaurants and a Korean town there. We loved Korean food and have tried many restaurants for many decades. Korea House’s Galbi and Jap Chae are awesome! Our girl is at CU Boulder and we are looking forward to coming to Korea House every time we visit her. This will also be one of her favorite restaurants!!!!

Great spot! By far the best Korean meal I've had in Boulder. The kimchi jeon and hot stone bibimbap with beef were both excellent - the jeon was super crispy and the bibimbap was really flavorful. Portions weren't huge but it was pretty inexpensive. The owner was super friendly and welcoming and the restaurant has a very chill, homey atmosphere. Looking forward to my next trip already!

My friend and I have been coming here for months as students. What an amazing restaurant. It is run by one of the nicest people i’ve ever met and the food here is incredible!! It’s also very fairly priced and Id say it’s hands down the best asian food in boulder!! Must try.

Went for the first time and can't wait to go back. The food was so comforting and reasonably priced, and the service was amazing. The dining room is absolutely adorable and there's obviously so many memories in this place. Absolutely loved it!

Amazing restaurant, felt like second home for me for the few months I spent in Boulder, the owner is the kindest heart, owning this place for many many years. True korean experience, authentic taste. Will miss this place pretty much

We just came in with our 4 year old daughter and tried to order a side of white rice and they said they don’t have a side of white rice. We did not eat here because we could not feed our daughter.

I come here with my cousin all the time, we always share because we can never decide what to get. I cherish this place so much, and food always tastes like a home cooked meal :)

You know the first time we tried this place my daughter was visiting from Las Vegas so I was too distracted to take any pictures but I've been really wanting to come back because it was so good that first time! Both visits I had combination bento box which is really an amazing meal at a reasonable price. I ate my items one at a time because they were each so delicious and I saved the ribs for last with good reason- hands down the best galbi short ribs I've had, ANY WHERE! I'm not kidding they are so tender they melt in your mouth and packed full of flavor! The dumplings were crispy on the outside and not chewy but tender inside. The bulgogi was tender and flavorful, not grisly like can be common in the places that serve AYCE. The chicken even made me smile. Red and purple kimchi have been floating in my memories waiting for my return. And the server is such a pleasant man- he remembered us from our last visit when we asked him to record a video birthday greeting for my step mom who couldn't eat with us that day. It's been 3 months since our last visit because we have been busy and it really is about a 25 minute drive for us but I promise it won't take so long for our next visit. Thank you so much!
