Nestled on Pearl Street, this quaint coffee shop in Boulder exudes a timeless charm. Its interior is a delightful blend of old-school coffeehouse and contemporary art student vibes. While the Americano was expertly brewed, I was a bit surprised when the barista didn't recognize the term 'pour-over coffee.' Nonetheless, it's a lovely spot to grab a cup and soak up the local atmosphere.

This used to be my go-to, before I discovered Pekoe in Atlas (sadly closed as of Fall 2024). I've consistently waited over 20 minutes here (lines are even longer than this now that Pekoe's closed) for less friendly service by distracted employees who just want to chat loudly with their friends instead of working, poorly made americanos (but a pretty good cold brew), a higher price, crappy music, and occasionally no lids..?! These guys also contribute to much of Norlin Common's sound pollution; it's also difficult to get in/out of the library at the entrance/exit nearest them because of customers that don't understand what a queue is, and improper stanchion setup that bottlenecks the walkway.

Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free options are limited to sugary Outrageous dessert breads (which are tender), or possibly a salad (can't say whether they're GF).

It is posted on the website and everywhere that this place opens at 7:45am and the girl in the blue shirt this morning who obviously had shown up late (as she was still setting up) declined to serve any of the customers until 8 when she said they opened. If it opens at 8am it needs to be updated on all the websites asap. Bad service, would not recommend.

I just paid $6 for 8oz latte that wasn’t even full all the way. They are overcharging for coffee. And they have zero pricing available so you stand in line forever just to find out you’re overpaying.

One of the best and most affordable coffee shops on campus.
