The cooks are either high school kids who have no idea how to cook or they microwave everything. Food came out cold and portion was a joke. I won't be returning and will never recommend to anyone. People who are giving this place praise are only doing so because thier kids are working part time there.

im gonna gush on this restaurant a bit.
so we are big fans of anything cajun or creole. my littlest is BIG into cheesy grits, shrimp and grits, buttered grits, grits and gumbo. if you can name the grits dish they'll eat it.
my aunt knowing there is a complete adoration for grits and beignets suggested this and it did not disappoint.
Boulder does not have a reputation for being southern and i was completely thrown when google led me to a house. i saw the tables outside on the porch but i was a little like do i just go in? do i wait? like you don't just go waltzing into a house
there is just something about a restaurant in a house that screams come on in and sit a spell and wait for meemaws supper or breakfast !
we ordered hoe cakes and our favorite cheese grits and the food came rather quickly. the waitress was friendly and the jams and sauces were homemade and you could tell.
there is one kinda unusual thing about this place and that is when you pay its a dollar more if you use a credit card. not sure if thats tip or if its the restaurants way of covering the service fees associated with credit cards

We moved here from Texas a month ago and the buttermilk biscuits and chicken fried steak made me start crying. I've NEVER cried over food, but it tasted like home. I ended up taking a biscuit to go so I could have it for dinner. We will 100% be back.

everyone loves luciles. The only place you can get real collard greens and grits. I wish the collards were spicier but they're damn good. If you go on Sunday be ready to wait.

I came here at the recommendation of a friend, and I am very grateful that I did, because this is a bustling and vibrant slice of New Orleans vividness in the heart of Boulder. This place is admittedly quite crowded, and at peak times, there are significant weights for a table. I was fortunate enough that I only had to wait about 10 minutes or so, and I was ushered into a lovely little table surrounded with Cajun paraphernalia and a delightful, glamorously nostalgic sense of early 20th century ambience. The food is varied and provides a Boulder twist on New Orleans cuisine, and I am particularly enamored with the blueberry southern pancakes, which have a grainy authenticity to them that feels quite hardy. I will conclude by saying that this is also a fun place for eavesdropping, if you are so inclined, as the tables are close and everyone around has quite interesting stories. This place feels both energetic and classy, and I quite recommend it for anyone who wants a savory breakfast or just a slice of New Orleans delights.

Absolutely adore this creole restaurant located in an old Victorian home a block of Pearl Street. It tends to get busy mid-afternoon so try and beat the rush, grab a table on the porch and enjoy some really yummy food!

This was the most disgusting thing that has ever happened to us at restaurant. We ordered our food and when the pancakes came out they obviously brought syrup, but after we had poured our syrup and ate almost all our pancakes we started seeing ants in the SYRUP! I don’t even want to know how many ants we swallowed🤮 After the fact we told our waiter if we could talk to the manager but the manager was so unprofessional that he didn't even want to come out and offer an official apology. You would also suspect that they would comp the whole meal but it turns out they only comped HALF of it! We shouldn’t have had to pay a DIME! Super disappointed in the customer service😡 P.S the manager was the one who brought the syrup out😈
The best breakfast in Boulder can be had at Loucile’s!
