I cannot stress enough how incredible Moe's Orginal BBQ-Boulder truly is! For the last few months, I have been assisting my niece with her recent wedding as she lives in GA and the wedding was here in Boulder. From day one, everything that could go wrong - did go wrong. I worked with Alex, the manager, the whole time and I'm telling you - this guy is amazing!! Not only did he adapt to the changes, he adapted in a manner that was helpful and much needed. Alex and his team went out of their way to make my niece's wedding dinner incredible and it was greatly appreciated.
The entire staff at Moe's Original BBQ-Boulder are friendly, professional, accomodating and just amazing to work with and be around. If you ever need a BBQ Caterer - call them - you'll get everything you need/want at awesome prices and great food but more importantly you're going to receive the highest of quality in customer service. And that's something you can't beat.
So thank you Alex, and team, at Moe's Original BBQ-Boulder for making my niece's wedding dinner amazing. You are appreciated!!

Pulled pork was slightly dry and seemed more like a pot roast than a smoked meat. But, it was perfect compared to how dry and chewy the turkey was. Also, only one sauce available. Mac and cheese was ok, Mississippi mud pie was good but very small.
As a reply to your response, I leave a lot of reviews because I travel 600 miles a week and I eat at a lot of places and go to a lot of businesses.

I’ve never had such small portions for a meal that costs +$20; and if that was not bad enough, the food was horrible. It reminded me of highschool cafeteria food. I’m leaving a review because I wish I saw an honest review before wasting my money here. Do not go here if you have any self respect!

This trip was not a success for Moes or customers. Food was over priced to the value of the products we received. Portions were so skimpy that a family of 4 went away disappointed at $70, and that was without ordering drinks.
Most BBQ in this category prices around $48 to $58 for 4 people and the food is ample with enough leftovers for a snack later.
Quality: Food was not to temp, chilly, and served like some one crapped out BBQ on a plate. Definitely need to work on temperature control and presentation.
Cleanliness: I didnt find a clean table table in the restaurant...and we tried to find one. Suggestion, Start a regular cleaning schedule and stick to it whether slow or busy times occur.
Service: Good service takes more than a smile at the door. Attitude is everything to happy customers. If you smile taking an order, be sure you show you care about your customer through all steps in your designated process. Slopping food down on a table and grumbly asking if there's anything else you need sets a negative mood. Suggestion, work on being inviting, kinder, friendly and grateful.
I will be back to see if there are improvements. Everyone deserves the chance to improve on a bad day at the restaurant. 2 stars is temporary. Until I have eaten 3x at this restaurant, scores may improve.

Best bbq around. They have special side's every day and daily special sandwich. Thursday is the Thanksgiving turkey sandwich very tasty
Was going to take pictures but forgot.... BBQ was excellent....we had ribs, fried catfish, pulled pork, Angus beef brisket and chicken...sides were good too... burnt ends chili, potato salad, coleslaw and hush puppies ... banana pudding was good too.... would recommend anyone wanting good BBQ to try this place out..... thanks staff y'all were excellent too

So. Good. If you like Southern style bbq, this is the place to be! Food is amazing (those hash browns) and the staff very friendly.
I don’t always order fried catfish at a bbq joint, but when I do it had better be as friggin’ tasty as Alex and his team make it at the Boulder Moe’s BBQ location! I ordered the catfish platter for lunch and substituted hush puppies for the cornbread and had double collard greens for my two sides. The catfish was ever so lightly battered and flash fried so it was light and tender. The hush puppies were the ideal shade of brown on the outside and tender and moist inside. I love collard greens, and these were stewed just the right amount so they were tender and not overdone like so often happens.

I recently visited Moe's BBQ and was disappointed with the service. After waiting a long time, we realized our order ticket was lost, and we had to reorder. No apologies or compensation were offered for the delay. To make things worse, I was told certain items were unavailable, even though I saw them being served to others who arrived after us. The portions also seemed smaller than they used to be, which added to the frustration. The staff seemed uninterested in helping. While I’ve enjoyed the food here before, this visit was a letdown, and I hope they can improve the customer service and portion sizes moving forward.

Let me make this simple for you. If you love a good southern style home cooked meal, amazing smoked meats and authentic side dishes. You MUST visit Moe's in Boulder! This has become one of my favorite spots in town. The entire menu is delicious, but the ribs and smoked chicken are my favorite. The vibe is relaxed and the service is friendly and quick. They have great sweet tea as well!
