Really wish i could give less stars. The person working the register should have warned that we were making a mistake

The chicken sandwich was made with dark meat. It's a chicken sandwich, so that's just cheap and wrong. Double fried so that the skin felt more like gristle than chicken. To top it off there was kale and brussel sprouts that made for an even crunchier "slaw."

Proceeded to watch the same person who served us order the chicken sandwich next door. I know it's Boulder but c'mon.

Ordered an American burger. Was treated poorly because I requested the cheese to be removed & questioned if there was mayo added. I also requested for pickles on the side & didn’t get them. The burger was super greasy.

So,the reason service is 3 is that you order, pay, and get your own food when it's done. The employees did ask if I needed anything else, which was kind to make sure. The atmosphere in the Avanti F & B was nice, but a lot. Tables are mostly communal, and there are some actual bad spots to sit when busy and a projector screen down.
The fish and chips were perfect. The fish was cooked to the point where the batter was done, the fish was flaky but not overcooked, and the crisp was epic. I was provided an aoli, which was tangy, savory, and herby. The flavor was just perfect. The fries were crispy and were even better with a drizzle of malt vinegar.
If you are on Pearl, then stop by Rooted. I know I will go back to try one of the other entrees.

Kenny was helping us and Noah was our cook. Must say. This was by far the friendliest and best service I’ve ever had. Kenny was phenomenal helping us out, and working with us to make sure we were taken care of. And the burger… my god.. it was so flavorful and cooked to PERFECTION. My wife had the chicken sandwich and trust me, she’s hard to please when it comes to food, but she was ecstatic about her sandwich! Will DEFINITELY be coming back and I’ll honestly probably order the same meal bc it was fantastic! Kenny and Noah were absolutely incredible and I couldn’t have asked for more! Thanks guys!

Jacob C was the server and was completely rude regarding my order. I grabbed the wrong order but it was the same dish that I did. I got the text and he had the audacity to come out and take it from me and take it back to the kitchen after I had taken a bite. How unsanitary is that. The food was also cold and the cheese wasn’t even melted. Not to mention the other bowl of Mac and cheese in the counter was the exact same as the one I had.

Had the Colorado burger on a gluten free bun….Literally best burger I’ve ever had. Wish the fries were gluten free, my daughter had the truffle fries with her burger and said they were delicious… we’re from Dallas TX wishing we had a Rooted close to home. We will be back!

Dietary restrictions: Gluten free bun was the best.. ever.

We were visiting Boulder and the kids were hungry. Ordered Mac and cheese and a basket of fries. The kids had started eating the fries when we realized the fries were very salty. We took back the fries and told them fries were salty. They took it, refried the same fries, and gave us the same basket of fries again (still salty). The Mac and cheese was super bland.

If you’re looking for great restaurants in downtown Boulder you can’t go wrong with Rooted Craft American Kitchen located on the first floor of Avanti because it’s a wide range of options with a couple great places to eat. There’s a bar on the first floor and on the roof. My favorite part though, the bartenders were above and beyond often coming around to your table kindly offering refills. Pour me another please! It’s great plaice for families too, a family sat next to us as we were finishing and when we returned a few hours later the family was still hanging out having fun. That could be YOU!

My only note I got the Nashville Hot chicken sandwich and Nashville Hot chicken Mac and cheese and there was no heat on either so maybe they forgot the sauce. The other cook joked his partner was a new crew member. I only caution spicy fans cause I noticed a similar review. I think they’ll fix this small issue quickly.

Mac and cheese is so mediocre. Do not get the Nashville chicken unless you like dark meat. To me this was not a very good experiment, but the other food from there looks AMAZING, so do not discount them from my rating just discount the mac and cheese
