They would have 10 Stars if they were continuing the way they have since 1994. I've been eating here on and off since then. And starting in January of 2021 I was eating everyday one of their roast beef sandwiches. They went very much out of their way to make sure that each sandwich was excellent. And then the last month I keep calling to see if they have roast beef and all I get is a busy signal. I've decided to drive by today and found that most of the equipment is out. My prayers are they really are having them professionally cleaned off site. But my gut tells me that they're just closing. I hope the owner will reply here. I missed the quality and service they are famous for.
What happened to this place? Where did the Prime Rib go? This new menu, a cheapening quality of the subs, and staffing/management all appear in decline. This used to be the *only* quality deli in Boulder with refreshing side of East Coast attitude. Now only seems to be coasting on their old reputation and in the process losing long-time patrons like myself...sad.
Great place to stop for a sandwich in Boulder. The service is always excellent. When I go there I end up ordering more than I can eat because they put so much on their sandwiches.
Not as good as it used to be. The sandwich makers think they can just throw whatever they got on a piece of bread and it's fine we'll it's not. To make a sandwich all the ingredients have to be spread out on a piece of bread in the correct amount and Order and they just don't do it anymore. Not like they used to!
Italian deli? don't think so more of a sandwich shop. Got a Philly cheesesteak. The role was soggy not like a good crisp Amoroso roll. And they want to put green pepper on it and anyone from Philly knows we don't really do green pepper!
I ordered ahead. They said it would be ready in 10 min. I showed up 15 min later and paid. They said it would ready in 2 more min. Then it took an additional 25 min before it was ready. 6 ppl who walked in after I did and ordered in person got their orders before I did. When my order was finally ready they handed me a free bag of chips I didnt want to aplolgize which was nice of them but they got my order wrong. My breakfast sandwhich had no hashbrowns on it and the eggs were cold. Also the quality was nowhere near I remember. The employees are maskless and one wiped his nose with his hand and went right back to working on a sandwhich. This place is an old favorite of mine I wont be going back to soon unfortunately
The Freshest Deli Sandwiches! A great local place. Always get a brownie too!
Always a great throw back to my Boston days!! Nothing like an East Coast Deli!!!
Best bread, giant subs, fresh made and fantastic Italian deli meat
I used to go to Salvaggio's every time I was in Boulder. This most recent time, I was disgusted. Flies everywhere, including inside the meat case. Soda machine was dirty and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months as was the cash register and all the counter surfaces. I won't be back. The servers were smoking outside and then didn't wash their hands before they started making sandwiches. Simply disgusting.

We have been going here for years and while we still love their sandwiches I'm not sure we will continue giving them our business as the employees are regularly not wearing masks. It is very disrespectful to the customers, not to mention the fact that there is a mask mandate in place.
I personally love this deli for lunch and am so thankful to have found it in Boulder. The staff are helpful and friendly. The food is fresh and prepared quickly and you have a pretty decent variety of options to customize what you want. My go to is the Roasted Turkey on a roll but do yourself a favor and don't pass up the chocolate chip cookies - they're perfection.
A true NY Deli in Boulder. Their hot sandwiches are delicious, if a bit expensive. The hot pastrami is absolutely amazing, but what truly makes this place is their bread. It’s light and flavorful, while still being robust enough to hold all of the ingredients together.
Ive been here 3 times in the past month or so, every time I go in they are not wearing masks. First time I figured I caught them just taking them off for a moment which I get. Second time same story, and then the third time I realized they just don't wear them. No one will be wearing a mask in the back, whether customers are in the building or not. Stay safe out there.
Went there well within business hours and they refused to serve me a hot sandwich. Why bother being open until 4 if you close your grill at 3? Went to Goodtimes Burgers instead and had a delicious, hot burger.
