I LOVE this place. The service is impeccable. They remember their regulars, greet us with warmth, and give little perks.

They change the menu frequently and I was so sad then they removed the Truffle Beef Tartare - it was hands down the best tartare I’ve ever had AND one of the best dishes. Ever. I would do anything to have that back on the menu. Even if it’s just a “call back menu” of the locals favorites or something like that… as long as it includes that dish. I have dreams about it. SO GOOD!!

The current tartare is still pretty good. 😌

The pistachio crème brûlée is also a 🏆 🍮

Excellent experience from the atmosphere to the service to the food. Beautiful presentation. The risotto ai funghi plate looked like a whimsical forest floor carpeted with berries and mushrooms. Met Stella and learned about her special touches to the menu, including incorporating her own peach jam. If visiting Boulder and looking for a nice place to eat, visiting this restaurant is a must.

We had a great night, with the best service in the city. We were surprised it’s 2 years old, the place feels clean and new.
Every dish was amazing, the Pistachio desert is highly recommended!

Short rib is mind blowing. Service is some of the best I’ve had in Boulder for a solid ten years (thanks Aldos!)

I recently had an outstanding dining experience at Stella's Cucina this past Sunday. The highlight of the evening was, without a doubt, the short rib. Our server (forgot his name, but he had a light blue button-up), who was incredibly attentive and friendly, recommended it, and I’m so glad he did. The meat was rich with flavor, and paired perfectly with the accompaniments, so we got another order. We will be returning and ordering the short rib again!

The ambiance is incredible and the highlight of our experience, along with friendly hosts. Our excitement was tainted by the poor service we received. Our server passed us many times when we had no food or drink, walked away before we were done talking, and seemingly couldn’t have cared less about us. Our server also asked us if we wanted to order food after we had and were waiting a long time for it to be served, just for it to be served and left without silverware to eat with. The service did not match the status the restaurant is trying to portray.

Amazing cocktails! Bartender is master of his craft. Food 10/10. Erik took amazing care of us and guided us through the menu, as well as the dessert menu! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

We returned to your restaurant last night to celebrate our first wedding anniversary, after having an incredible experience just a week and a half earlier. Unfortunately, this visit fell short of expectations in several ways.

The octopus appetizer was especially disappointing—it lacked the char that gave it such depth last time, and the mashed potatoes it was served with were grainy and flavorless, overwhelming the dish rather than complementing it. It honestly reminded us more of a pet food texture than a fine dining plate.

The risotto was excellent, and we appreciated that bright spot, but the steak of the day was dry, flavorless, and tough—far from what we hoped for, especially at this price point and on such a meaningful occasion.

It was a disappointing end to what should have been a special and memorable evening. I’m not writing this to be harsh—just to share honestly how disheartening the inconsistency felt after such a great first impression.

Updated Review:
After posting my initial review, Stella’s responded promptly and expressed a desire to make things right. I appreciated that gesture and followed up by email, but unfortunately I never received a reply. This was disappointing in its own way, as I had hoped for some closure or a chance to experience the restaurant at its best again.

Stella Cucina is pure magic from the moment you walk in. The ambiance is warm and intimate, with just the right balance of sophistication and comfort.

Every dish is a work of art—beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The pasta is fresh and perfectly al dente, and the wine list is thoughtful and well-curated.

The service is impeccable: attentive without being intrusive, and clearly passionate about the food.

Whether it’s a special occasion or just a night out, Stella Cucina delivers excellence every time.

Took us 3 hours and 15 minutes to get in and out. Service was terrible order a beer and it took no joke 25 minutes. Food was very underwhelming for the price. Atmosphere is great

Would not recommend. I had been wanting to try Stella’s for a long time after hearing great things about it. The atmosphere was very nice and enjoyable, however the food is insanely overpriced for was it was. Everything on the menu seemed like it would be very good and unique. However, the food was very bland and boring for what it was, especially considering the price. My drink was bad and overpriced as well. I would not even say it’s a worth a try.
