We had a top notch experience at Green Briar. Our server was attentive and friendly, service was great - never an empty coffee cup! We had two young children with us and the server was so helpful in getting them the food they liked. All of our brunch entrees were excellent!

Perfect Anniversary dinner. Every member of the staff; from the Maitre'D to the bartender, to our waiters took the time to welcome us & acknowledge the occasion. We chose to sit by the roaring fire in the Bar, on a wet & misty evening. Lovely escargot & beet salad followed by Halibut for my bride, and Duck Breast for me, flawlessly cooked as required. Wide selection of wines by the glass for our varied tastes (Pinot Noir for me, Sauvignon Blanc for her). Ended with the “Chocolate Mousse Dome”; as outrageously over-the-top decadence that must be inhaled.

The Greenbriar... will always be special to me. Elegant without being “exclusive”, classy without being “conceited”, delicious food, attentive service, the 4 of us all agreed it was a wonderful meal at a lovely restaurant! I requested the music be lowered as I wear hearing aids...they immediately adjusted it... we had such an enjoyable evening with our friends.

We were celebrating Easter. We started in the bar, which is remarkably well stocked. Next we had brunch which was extraordinary. BUT the most impressive thing was the service! The servers were excellent, the manager came to chat with us. Service at a buffet is often less, the gentlemen who served is were the best part of our experience. I believe you can tell how sincere a restaurant is about customer service by how they deal with a problem. We had a MINOR issue, which they discovered and solved with grace.

Great food but they definitely packed people in The staff was overloaded and service was very slow. Took for ever to get our champagne, get coffee and plates cleared. For the price I don't think it was worth it.

We had a beautiful meal at this charming restaurant - we had a large party and could all hear one another. The service was terrific and everyone loved their dinner. Perfect for a special occasion.

This used to be my "go to" superior dining experience when I lived here. I returned since I moved back and it seems that they are just resting on their laurels. I had a $50 Halibut filet and it was average at best, very little flavor. I heard the same comments from most of the guests at our table. The seats in the main dining room were even uncomfortable with little/no padding, almost as bad as the metal outside chairs. Very sad indeed as it used to be top of the line for fine dining.

Great place to dine . We were there for a birthday brunch. The food is great and so was my Bloody Mary. A few of the tables seemed to be there for the same reason we were. But as always there is always a party that comes in and disrespects the surroundings. Everyone in the 8-10 party was so loud. We made the comment that it would be nice for them to get their meal so we could visit in quieter atmosphere. It did not help, they were still loud. The Greenbrier is a nice place to dine, but I think some people should try Mickey D's. They don't care how loud you are!

Christmas Eve buffet is a must skip. I mean wow, the food was cold, taste was bland, $89 per person to tie it all together and $20 for a half full martini to top it off. Utter waste of money. The egg nog crème brûlée was pretty good though!

Went for our anniversary with much excitement. The ambiance was beautiful knowing it’s meant to have a rustic home feel. We were given a complimentary glass of bubbly to celebrate which was nice. We each ordered an appetizer. Best tomato bisque I’ve ever had not too creamy and didn’t have an overly acidic after taste. The little bread it came with was nice except the charred parts were off putting taste wise. My husband ordered the scallops, yes they are small, the dish was really rich but he enjoyed them. The polenta was interesting and I did not like the size of it with my main dish. I order the filet which had no seasoning not even a hint which was disappointing, but the polenta overtook the dish by absorbing the only part of the dish that had flavor. That being said the polenta was still too much and voided the flavor it absorbed. The lamb dish was delicious per my husband. I would still recommend this place because no restaurant is perfect and the food still had enjoyable tastes when I was able to use the sauce on the filet. The polenta made sense with the richness of the scallops but definitely wouldn’t recommend pairing it with the beef filet. One thing I noticed when I was there was how other customers wouldn’t really acknowledge their servers. I’ve never understood this because they are there for you and when you engage them it makes the atmosphere better. Especially if an issue arises it takes that potential awkwardness away. Some people speak up while others are more hesitant too, so be nicer to the staff. Lastly, our server Don was awesome! He was attentive and communicative. Thank you for the experience and we will definitely be back.
