I grew up in SoCal and Texas (and also lived in Miami) so I might be biased in what I consider great Mexican / Latin cuisine. I found the food here to have good quality ingredients that were prepared well, but to have the wrong recipes.
I personally like authentic Mexican food, well done Tex Mex, and creative / fusion concepts as well. I would put Verde in the third category, but based on the four dishes our table ordered (and I tried them all), it just didn’t work. Nothing was memorable and no bite was epic.
This might be personal tastes and preferences but I just think they miss the mark.

We love Verde. The staff are super friendly. The Chile Relleno Burrito with Birria is terrific.
The interior is nice but can get quite loud when busy.

The only thing missing is a good sweetner for the ice tea.
Ate for the first time here and loved it. I ate their breakfast burritos and was blown away. One of the best around! This is a scratch kitchen and you can tell with every bite. The salsas are authentic. Hot is hot!! Their pork green chile is very tasty. Very welcoming staff. Nice vibe. Can't wait to go back and try other menu items.

The flavors of the salsa trio were unbelievably delicious. Had the taco trio as well and also loved the depth of flavor and great presentation! Best trip I’ve had to Verde yet!
