Easily the best Mexican food in Boulder. Everything is super fresh and full of flavor. Whether you’re sitting inside or out on the patio, the vibes are always great. Feels like you’re on vacation even at lunchtime on a workday.
The Mexican food here was absolutely delicious and filling. I recommend the carne asada meal, as the steak was cooked to perfection and the meal itself was super filling. Great little spot in Boulder. There’s a indoor/outdoor area.
Great little spot, feels like stepping onto the tropics.
These guys have partys going on until late at night past the curfew during the week. Its very disruptive. Please follow the curfew guys. - Dakota Ridge Neigbor
Today, I had an absolutely phenomenal experience at this restaurant while celebrating my daughter's birthday. From the moment we arrived, I was struck by how immaculate the establishment was, and the service we received throughout our meal was nothing short of perfect.
My personal highlight was the fish tacos; they were incredibly delicious and remarkably fresh, truly a standout dish. Our waiter was exceptionally friendly and attentive, further enhancing our dining experience. The overall quality of the food was simply amazing.
I would enthusiastically give this restaurant a perfect 10 out of 10 and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. I am already looking forward to my next visit!
Fun place to have dinner !!
Flavorful food.
I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you want to waste your money on mediocre Mexican food. The prices are steep for the small portion sizes, and the space is incredibly cramped. The rice was overcooked to the point of being almost burnt and completely inedible. The interior is tiny, with tables so small that our two plates barely fit. Overall, it was a disappointing experience—there are definitely better Mexican food options in the area.

We’ve already been here 3 times since the reopening and every time it has been absolutely delicious and amazing. I’ve eaten at most, if not all, Mexican places in Boulder and Wapos is by far the best! The quality, the service, and the value are all 10/10!

Amazing portions for the price! Tasted amazing. Ordered the queso fundido, al pastor burrito, and chicken chimichanga! All food was stellar, great presentation and taste. My favorite was the fresh chips and salsa.

Small cup of soda was $4.50 (for that price expected at least a full sized soda cup), ordered bottled water for $2 and received a cup of tap water in a cracked cup. No joke. Quesadilla was 5 small pieces for $17 although good if a bit too salty.
Had been waiting for them to reopen for months and highly disappointed.

AWESOME COMEBACK!! FOOD IS EXCELLENT SERVICE BY JOSE WAS SPECTACULAR!! The new place is so cute with indoor outdoor seating and garage doors that open up. We sat inside with the doors open and it was sunny and beautiful. Chicken tortilla soup was the bomb and my husband got the Tequilla Chicken and it was delicious. We got the Mexican version of fried dough and it was so light and sweet. Perfect top to a great lunch. Margaritas are still delicious too. We will be back. Tip: Mondays they have happy hour all day.
