Food was good. The place is pretty pricey, and I felt like the atmosphere was a little more uppity than I would’ve guessed. Our server was very busy and impatient with us. We weren’t drinkers, and that seemed off-putting. But the history of the building itself is really neat and the period decor inside is beautiful!

One of the best steaks I’ve had in Colorado! We all got the ribeye which was cooked perfectly. The mashed potatoes and wild mushrooms were delicious. I will be going back!

We have been to Briar Rose over the years w excellent service and food. Unfortunately, this time fell short on all fronts. The service was below average w what appeared to be undertrained staff and not enough servers. We ordered the USDA Prime New York Strip. The quality of meat was tough. Sides were ordered but not delivered until the main course was consumed. Don’t know if we will go back. Will no longer recommend.

Got a delicious double cut filet with asparagus. Yummy. Both were perfectly cooked. I sat at the bar since I was alone so the bartender was my waitress and she provided excellent service. I’ll mention also the bar and bar back were made by Brunswick in the 1800s. Not original to Briar Rose but still really cool.

Overall, it is not worth the price of food. We had their bass and ribeye. Ribeye was good but bass, not so much. Service and atmosphere were lacking. For the price, I was disappointed that all sides were separately priced and not included with dish. It was our 28th anniversary and just didnt feel special. Just my 2 cents.

I would first like to say our server was great and the dining room was extremely clean and classy. Unfortunately the food was just not up to par with the pricing. I ordered a the 8oz filet cooked medium and it came out completely burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. A woman a table over sent her filet back twice this night as well. My wife ordered a New York strip and it was cooked to order but lacked in flavor. We got the mashed potatoes and mushrooms and they were just okay, nothing special. The Caesar salad was honestly the highlight of the meal. I expected more for $300+ with a tip. Worst $70 steak I’ve ever had.

Me and my fiancé always struggle to find good above and beyond steakhouses in Breckenridge! I must say this place absolutely hit the mark for food quality, service, and the welcoming atmosphere. The steaks were tender and the sauces were amazing… The Oscar style is a must try. This was for my fiancés 28th birthday and she was very happy.

I’ll be recommending to all my friends and family!
