Stopped by Mountain View Coffee Bar while in Breckenridge because the location and views are hard to beat — and they really are beautiful. The ambiance is great, and sitting with a mountain view definitely adds to the experience.
That said, the coffee itself was just okay. Nothing bad, but nothing memorable either. Normally, that wouldn’t stop me from leaving a solid review if the service made up for it. Unfortunately, the experience at the register didn’t help. The person working the checkout seemed disengaged and almost annoyed — no greeting, no thank you — and I noticed the same nonchalant attitude toward another customer as well.
To be fair, I did notice another staff member at the register later who had a much better attitude, so this doesn’t seem to apply to everyone. Still, first impressions matter, and a simple hello or friendly tone goes a long way, especially in a place with so much foot traffic from visitors.
The space and views are great — I’d just recommend more consistent, welcoming customer service to match the setting.

Looking for non-Starbucks? Really good coffee, service was speedy and the warmed bakery items hit the spot! Great place to sit and enjoy a break from shopping.

This is the worst coffee ever. Watered down with no coffee taste. My partner and I ordered two vanilla breve and not even two minutes later we tossed em in the trash.

Food was o.k. Burrito mostly potato, scone was a little burned and pretty bad flavor, waffle was good. The coffee is weak and the girls working were joyless and unfriendly at best. Wait time was good

Not a big coffee expert nor claim to be so it's pretty easy to impress me. Staff was friendly and helpful. The coffee was great both days we went. Would recommend.

Just walked in and the baristas screamed “were closed” at us. When the coffee shop was full of people and as they were making coffee. It was very rude

Better to go to the opposite Starbucks coffee shop which will be good. Pls don’t waste your money and your time.
I could give this place ZERO stars, I would!
I have never been to a more unfriendly, mediocre café. The young man at the register today was flat-out rude, no greeting, no smile, nothing. He acted like taking my order was a huge favor. The girl with pink hair making drinks was just as unfriendly, more interested in gossiping with other employees than acknowledging customers.
I ordered an avocado toast that was completely bland and tasted like cardboard, and the coffee? Bitter, old, and cold. To make it worse, the creamer dispenser was empty. Everything about this place screamed “we don’t care.”
Horrible experience, I will never be back.

Very unfriendly barristas, no greeting and very sour pissed off looks the whole time they’re helping you. Just unwelcoming atmosphere right away when you walk in and leave. Coffee and food very subpar. Shame because the coffee shop itself is very cute.
