It's expensive, but the quality is immediately noticed. Their smoked elk is the real deal. Their jerky is also amazing and they have quite the variety for the spaces they sell in. Employees are always friendly and helpful They sell by the Moly mine at the edge of Lake County for slightly cheaper on Fri Sat Sun.
Truly the best jerky around, and truly LOCAL! No preservatives? Wow! Wonderful family business that offers such a variety of jerky, even meats you never would have expected. You won't regret your purchase, it's the best!
Oh my - this was as delightful surprise. I thought I had jerky before, but it's incomparable to what I enjoyed at Climax Jerky. After I tried it I was blown away - I might have guessed that it would cost twice as much since its clear Climax uses some great cuts of meat and the best ingredients. Next time, I'm going for the smoked elk and some teriyaki beef, and recommend it to you as well.Cheers!
