We stopped by Robbie's Tavern during our summer vacation at Peak 8, hoping for a good meal with the mountain views. The location at the top of the mountain is convenient, and the greeter welcomed us with a friendly smile when we arrived.
Unfortunately, the service experience went downhill from there. Our server took about five minutes to approach our table after we were seated, and seemed to have an attitude right from the start. She didn't explain any menu items when we had questions, and after we said we were ready to order, she walked away to get water and disappeared for another five minutes. When she finally returned to take our order, she was impatient that she had to tell us twice about choosing sides for our dishes. After that, we never saw her again - other staff members delivered our food and brought the check.
The food itself was okay for mountain dining. We tried the Bill's Homemade Red Chili, Curried Chicken Wrap, and Blackened Salmon. Nothing was particularly impressive, but it was acceptable given the location. The payment process was also uncomfortable - they hand you a device and stand there watching while you select a tip percentage, which felt awkward.
The restaurant has potential with its prime location, but the service training needs serious improvement. A smile and basic customer service would go a long way toward making this a better dining experience for skiers looking to refuel on the mountain.
The wait staff is very friendly and accommodating. Food was delivered quickly and was excellent.
Aside from this place being extremely busy, the food was great but definitely a bit on the pricey side.
The food was nothing great.. Our server was not pleasant, she did not seem happy to be working there. We had a party of 9 and were able to get seating easily in the afternoon. The view and convenience seemed to be the only part worth coming to.
Absolutely terrible service for an empty restaurant on a Friday night. Food was mediocre at best. Prices were good for the location.
We had the chili and the beef sandwich. Both were superb! The atmosphere is great if you get a chance to dine on the deck!! Nothing like eating while watching all the skiers go by.
Our server Emily was excellent. She was patient, kind, and a real pleasure to talk to! She checked back often and was always prompt.
Bartender was so rude. Worst way to greet a customer. Didn’t get her name because she never bothered to come to the table. Sat for 10 minutes right at open and left with no service. Been here before and loved it. Short blonde hair with two sleeves she should find a different industry to work in.
Employees must be tiered of winter or just don’t like their job don’t waste your time here.. T-bar much friendlier
Our family of 5 had a disappointing meal at this “restaurant” which provided us with soiled silverware, dirty glassware (lipstick) and tasteless greasy food and miserable service. Sure enough 4 of us experienced stomach problems thereafter and upon notifiying the management of our experience, they became defensive, condescending and argumentative. AVOID this place.

Really good bar food with a good variety of drinks! I highly recommend the red chilli fries, they are so delicious ? the staff was really nice and welcoming. The cheese steak sandwich was good but I wouldn't consider it a Philly cheese steak if you know what I mean. The salads are really good though, very fresh and dressed appropriately.

I didn’t have high expectations for the bar food. I mean, it’s bar food! The red chili/queso fries were so good! I mean really, good! Good service, really cool outdoor area!

Great selection of beer and cocktails. Breck local spirits are always a hit. It was hot and sunny while we were here. Minimal shade and needed it with bright hot sun. The white queso is super yum and the pretzels are to die for! I will definitely be adding Robbie’s to the list of good scenic restaurants to go to while here. The need for an outdoor umbrella on the patio would have been great, but understood. The locals enjoy the sun and heat. We will be back!

The loaded fries were awesome. I had it as my entree. Definitely could not eat it all. My husband said the spaghetti was really good too. The bathroom is very nice.
